First up for Gwen is the Infallible Le Rouge lip color campaign, and the commercial airs on Sunday during the Golden Globes. The cosmetic brand scored big with Ms. Stefani because she is relatable to a wide demographic.
Natalie Portman went bare in her new Dior Miss Cherie fragrance ad for spring; it’s the first from the campaign and it is eye catching. They kept it from being provocative by keeping the image demure; the light pink background and black bow in her hair were more sweet than sexy. There is nothing overt about her expression as she modestly shields her breasts with folded arms. It is sensual and very Parisian.
Jill Stuart’s Spring 2011 ad campaign stars Lindsey Wixson, the model with the recognizable pout. This campaign showcases a mix of feminine and masculine pieces from the collection. The tuxedo jacket is fitted and structured while the dresses are on the opposite spectrum; long, light and sheer. Her facial expression and body language in each respective ad denotes the juxtaposition of hard and soft in the pieces. The absence of color is very striking, and so are the contrasting colors of black-and-white.
Michelle Williams is the cover girl for Marie Claire’s February 2011 issue. She wore a gorgeous coral pink chiffon Valentino dress from the Spring 2011 collection for her cover shot; sweet and sheer with ruffles. Michelle is absolutely lovely in these images, joy emanates from them. The majority of her shoot was styled in various shades of pink, reflecting her feminine aesthetic. Her short blond bob is very stylish and her ultra pink lipcolor emphasized the joy coming from the pages of her editorial. Tom Ford casted model Abbey Lee Kershaw as his leading lady in his Spring 2011 womenswear ad campaign. The ad captured the two in a passionate embrace usually reserved for a dance of the romantic tango. Abbey wore a cobalt blue floor length gown in an elegant print with long sleeves and a mock turtleneck. Her platinum blond hair hangs in loose curls and her lip color is a bold fire engine red. Tom is dashing in a black tuxedo that is no doubt from his menswear line. This campaign is all about drama, glamour and a lifestyle of luxury.
Demi Moore stepped out on the red carpet for the premiere of No String Attached with husband Ashton Kutcher in a Carven dress. It was short and black with two frontal zippers extending to the full length of the dress. The little number was sleeveless and fully textured with ruching throughout. She accessorized with a pair of black platformed pumps, black clutch and a black -and-white bracelet. Demi’s hair was up in a roll with lots of height in the front. Her makeup was flawless; simply neutral and gorgeous.
