Who am I?  I am a style obsessed woman with a social conscience.  The love once reserved for new love has been traded in for the love and appreciation of a beautifully structured jacket and the well-crafted shoe.  Fashion Rollcall is my attempt at merging my love of beautiful things with an acknowledgement to the artisians who still find time for acts of philanthropy.  Ten percent of our advertising income goes to charity.

Fashion Rollcall covers high-end fashion, the red carpet and celebrity style.  We do it all with a special focus on those who take the challenge to contribute to society.  Our mission is to celebrate and chronicle the philanthropic efforts of the industry.  We started our site in February of 2009, and whatever is newsworthy will make our Rollcall.  The goal is to keep our readers up-to-date on the latest news in fashion and celebrity style.  

My name is Michelle Ava Gardner, and I am the founder, fashion editor and writer of this site.  My interest in fashion began with the classic films of Old Hollywood, and  styles of Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn and of course, Ava Gardner. 

Pursuing a career in fashion should have been a no-brainer, but my path led me to a law degree, bar exam passage and a Masters in Political Management/Communication.  Eventually I followed my heart and began my journey into fashion and I never looked back.  I embarked on my own venture with Fashion Rollcall after classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology, volunteer work and freelancing during New York Fashion Week  for several seasons.  It was all worth it.
