Models, designers, editors and fashionista’s came out this evening to support Fashion’s Night Out’s fashion show.  The event showcased over 150 models in Fall 2010 looks from many designers, and these pieces are in stores now.  Some of the biggest names in the modeling industry graced the seemingly intricate catwalk.  The show was streamed live for all to see and to enjoy the awe of one of the largest fashion shows ever.  Andre Leon Talley was one of our hosts for the evening, and he was a delight.  It was a sight to see the models rock the runway with such poise and precision, all 150 of them.  This event started as the brainchild of Anna Wintour and Vogue last year, and has grown exponentially in just one year.  The making of FNO will be aired on CBS on September 14th, and it is sure to include the evening’s fashion show, as well as the worldwide shopping extravaganza on Friday, September 10th.  Don’t forget that these events help to support a worthy cause;  a portion of the proceeds goes to the New York City AIDS Fund.  We can hardly wait until Friday for Fashion’s Night Out’s second night out.  Happy shopping!!!

Many of us knew that Martha Stewart was once a model, but we did not know that she modeled for the house of Chanel.  Andre Leon Talley of Vogue was a guest on The Martha Stewart Show this morning, and he revealed this tidbit of information.  He learned about it from Karl Lagerfeld.  She tried to downplay the news by saying it was only for a summer.  Who knew back then that Martha the model would one day become a succesful business woman like Coco Chanel?

There’s a new judge in town, and his name is Andre Leon Talley.  Yes, ALT is now a  judge on America’s Next Top Model.  The Vogue Editor-at-Large will take his seat next to Tyra Banks for the 14th cycle of the reality show.  We will meet the new panel member at the season premiere on March 10th.  People will tune-in the see him, and we doubt anyone will be disappointed.  All good things come at a cost though, he replaces Miss J. Alexander.  Miss J. has given us 13 seasons of hilarity, and Andre Leon Talley has signed on to give us at least three more fun filled and cultured seasons.  We will be watching on March 10th, and of course, we will be appropriately attired.
