Chloe – Spring 2012 Ad Campaign

Chloe selected models Karmen Pedaru and Kate White for its Spring 2012 campaign. I still love this collection as much as I did when it debuted during Paris Fashion Week.

The colors were subtle and muted, but the turquoise stood out. My favorite looks were the striped dresses with origami pleats, they were stunning.

Photographer Glen Luchford shot the ads and I’m taken with his use of space in the images. It was pretty brilliant to keep the models on the right and to use a wooden chair on the left for balance.

Movement in photography gives the pictures a natural flow and that technique works beautifully in fashion. This is one of my favorite campaigns for the season.

Kirsten Dunst in Chloe at New York Film Festival

Image via People Style Watch

Kirsten Dunst walked the red carpet in Chloe at the New York Film Festival. She wore a black halter gown with a deep V-neckline, her look was reminiscent of Old Hollywood. The dress was floor-length with a bluson bodice. I loved how she tied the straps into a scarf, it was quite stylish. The pin-curled hair, and beautiful makeup completed her look for the evening.

Chloe – RTW Spring 2012

Chloe was the epitome of chic for Spring 2012. A white and tan color palette was brought to life with turquoise and salmon. They also had a floral print to add to the brights. Gorgeous crochet made its way down this runway with lady-like elegance. The neutral leather jacket, and shorts added an edgier element to these beautiful pieces. Hemlines fell below the knee without being prudish, it was quite the opposite. The stripe dresses were the standout because they managed to be feminine without a single ruffle. This collection was easy, and unforced, and that made it ultra chic.

Zoe Saldana in Chloe at The Foundation Polo Challenge

Zoe Saldana looked Parisian chic in an ultra feminine Chloe gown at The Foundation Polo Challenge.  She wore a gorgeous floral dress with a key-hole in the bodice and a halter neckline.  It was demure, yet a little daring with the frontal cut-out.  The colors were neutral and subdued, they were paired with a coral belt and clutch.  A bright lip-color completed her look for this outdoor event.  This is summer fashion style at its best.

Elle’s November Covers 2010: Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow & Hilary Swank

Lovely ladies from the big screen grace three covers for Elle magazine’s November 2010 issues.  Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Hilary Swank are not only Hollywood leading ladies, they are also Elle’s cover girls.  Kate wears a gorgeous Marc Jacobs dress that is simply perfection.  The ivory and pink combination is pure confection when combined with the lovey lace appliques.  Hilary wears a white long-sleeved Calvin Klein dress, it’s beauty comes from the sleek design and clean lines.  Column dresses always flatter the actress’ figure.  Gwyneth is in a blush colored Chloe dress with embellishment on the bodice, simple yet classic just like the actress.  Talent, beauty and style are winning combinations, and these ladies clearly have all three.

Paris: Chloe Spring 2011

Chloe was simply gorgeous for Spring 2011.  The collection boasted a complete wardrobe for the discerning woman; there were pieces for day and evening.  It struck all the right chords.  There was just a pop of red in the form of a coat surrounded by a field of neutral colors.  What the collection lacked in color, it made up for in beautifully constructed coats and dresses.  Technique was on display here.  Chiffon and leather made quite an impact in this show.  The chiffon was fluid with movement and the leather was very bold and modern when combined with the sheer fabric.  Overall, the collection was very clean, it had beautiful proportions and was a welcomed bridge between  romance and structure.

PFW: Chloe Fall 2010 RTW

Images Via NYMag

Chloe’s Fall 2010 collection was a nostalgic visit to the 1980′s with all the sensibilities of the 21st Century.  The collection reminded me of Catherine Deneuve and Jacqueline Bisset, these women personified sophistication in the ’80′s.  Chloe gave us sophistication, and so much more.  Luxury took center stage; the fabrics were so rich and plush, I could easily imagine the feel of them against my skin.  Each pant was cut perfectly, and thus had an amazing fit.  Several jumpsuits came down that catwalk in knits and silks, and a couple had me rethinking my stance on that one piece wonder.  The eighties were the height of power dressing for women, and Hannah MacGibbon has restored its luster.  There was a sea of neutrals, camel, tan, taupe, gray, beige and brown, but each piece was extremely strong.  One of my favorite looks was the brown leather pant and brown blouse with a bow, it was powerful yet sexy.
