Cameron Diaz was the picture of elegance in a polka dot Christian Dior design during their haute couture show in Paris. The actress selected a black-and-white print with a sophisticated flare that fell just above her knee.

It had a boat neckline, fitted bodice and full skirt. She accessorized the dress with a leather belt and a pair of unexpected strappy sandals. I loved her in this look because it was simultaneously ladylike and playful.

Her hair was styled in an up-do with volume on top. The make-up was in a peachy-pink palette that worked well with her blue eyes.

Marion Cotillard opted for a little black-and-white Chistian Dior dress for the Cesar’s Revelations’ party. It was a sleeveless design with a lace front panel that created a slimming silhouette.

I loved the flirty hem and the way the skirt was cut away from the body. She accessorized with black tights and a pair of platform heels.
Her hair was styled in an updo with volume on top. The makeup was classic and pretty with a red lip color to accent her look.

Milas Kunis has signed on as a new face of Christian Dior. The actress is featured in the brand’s Spring 2012 campaign.

Her selection indicates that the label is reaching out to a younger audience with someone that one would describe as accessible. That is a major complement because it means young women can identify with her.

She looks stunning in the ads which make great use of light and shadows. They also convey that luxurious lifestyle that we find so alluring.

It’s interesting that she is brunette like the other Dior women, Marion Cotillard and Natalie Portman. She does fit in beautifully.

Kate Mara was pretty in a pink Christian Dior design at the premiere of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” in New York City. Her dress had feminine bow-ties at the shoulders and a low neckline. It was a sweet mix of chiffon and silk with delicate pleating details. She accessorized with a multicolored Miu Miu embellished clutch and shiny metallic heels. I loved her auburn hair against the hue of her frock. The makeup was neutral and soft with a matching lip color and dramatic eyes.

Marion Cotillard has returned as the face of the Lady Dior Handbag campaign for Spring 2012. The French actress took us to Hollywood for this installment. She holds a coveted multi-colored bag at poolside while wearing a little black dress from the label. Photographer Steven Klein shot the ad, I love the various shades of blue from the number she clutches to the water, and background.

Charlize Theron attended her Africa Outreach Program charity event in a lace Christian Dior. She wore a black-and-champagne number with a scalloped hemline, and a modest neckline. Her mini-dress had a textured pattern, and sheer elbow length sleeves. It was accenuated with a quilted wine clutch, and black heels. The makeup was neutral and pretty with an emphasis on the eyes.

Michelle Williams wore a Christian Dior gown to the premiere of “My Week with Marilyn” at the New York Film Society. It had a fitted, lace bodice, and flowing chiffon skirt in off-white. The dress also had a plunging neckline, and black ribbon belt that created beautiful proportions. Her pixie hair cut was softened with layers and strategic curls, and the red pout was a definite ‘do’ with the neutral colors of her look.

Christian Dior was a tempting feast of sheers, leather and chiffon for Spring 2012. This was the first collection without former head designer, John Galliano. The collection was oh so Parisian, with feminine ruffles and beautiful lace. Its color palette ranged from subtle blush to bold red. Every piece that came down this runway was a sweet confection, from cocktail dress to gorgeous gown. It had everything, but it may have lacked the risk-taking and show production we’ve come to expect from this fashion house.
