Rooney Mara made quite an entrance on the red carpet in Givenchy haute couture at the London premiere of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” She wore a stunning white confection by creative designer Riccardo Tisci. It was backless with sheer sleeves and beautiful embroidery throughout. A dramatic train made of tulle was the exclamation point on this gown. I loved the contrast of the feminine dress against her dark hair and severe bangs. Her makeup was in a neutral palette with an emphasis on the eyes.

Emma Stone made a red carpet entrance in a vintage-inspired Chanel couture design at The Help premiere. The muted tone ensemble was an elegant choice, along with its dropped waist and mid-thigh slit. It had a fully draped asymmetrical skirt, and was embellished at the neckline, sleeves and waistline. She accessorized with neutral high-heels that elongated her legs, and gave her more height. I loved the shape of her ivory evening bag with the gold chain strap, it completed that retro vibe.

Mila Kunis was angelic in an Elie Saab couture design at the “Friends With Benefit” premiere in Moscow. It had a ballerina inspiration that was present in the fullness of the skirt, reminiscent of a tutu. The fitted bodice and dual neckline, one plunging and the other in tulle, made this dress a standout. Embellished sleeve and irridescent beading along the garment made this a true confection.
Jennifer Aniston selected a couture Valentino dress for the UK premiere of Horrible Bosses. The actress wore a little ecru dress with sparkling beaded patterns throughout. It was braided at both the neckline and waist. Her outfit was fitted to perfection, from the bodice down to the hemline. She accessorized with a pair of Tom Ford satin sandals with feminine ankle straps.
Emma Watson attended the Harry Potter: Deathly Hollows Part 2 premiere in London in a gorgeous Elie Saab design. It was a beautiful couture dress adorned with embellishment throughout. Sparkles were strategically placed onto a sheer bodice with great effect. This silhouette was flattering on her; it had a cinched waist, and fell into a flirty hemline. The handcrafted details were exquisite. She accessorized with a pair of peep-toe silver heels to accentuate the sheen from her outfit.

Anne Hathaway attended The White Fairy Tale Love Ball in a Valentino Garavani couture gown. It boasted layered cap sleeves and vertical wave-like designs that appeared fluid in nature. The embellished trims in the top and bottom provided a ton of sparkle for the evening. She accessorized with a hair wreath that added a whimsical twist to her look, her outfit was perfect for the event.

Cate Blanchett wore a crimson Armani Prive suit to the couture show yesterday. It was a two piece with three quarter sleeves ending in satin cuffs. Her head-to-toe red look was executed perfectly, right down to the clutch and shoes. Even more impressive were the majestic stairs in a similar hue. The structural nature of her outfit was significantly enhanced by the background, and its play with proportions was perfection.
