Selena Gomez was ElleMexico’s August 2011 cover girl.  She looked all grown up in a purple Altuzarra top and pants, and a bronze belt with exotic tassles from Gucci.  The hat was the exclamation point on her look.  This was a style evolution of the actress, from teen star to young starlet.  I am pleased she was dressed more maturely, without revealing skin.  Her fashion choices are clearly evolving as she gets older.

Emma Watson covered the August 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK in Emilio Pucci.  The actress was high fashion in a black, and fully textured dress with embroidery throughout.  It was complemented by her deep brown hair.  We got a glimpse of her other side, it’s darker and more grown-up.  Her lips and nails were painted in a bold red color to emphasize the dramatic look.

Penelope Cruz covers the Fall 2011 issue of V Magazine in a structured Ralph Lauren suit.  This is a high fashion shot from the photography of Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, right down to the excellent styling.  It also has  great artistic values, check out the use of colors, shapes and patterns.  The issue is aptly titled, “The Transformational Issue;” that alone could describe the actress’ recent journey into motherhood.

Jada Pinkett Smith covers the August 2011 issue of Redbook looking casual and chic for summer.  She sported a sleeveless orange top with soft draping, and a pair of peach shorts with lace-up detail on the side panel.  The actress is pretty and feminine in her outfit becuase of the softness of her blouse and the curls hanging down her back.  Her makeup is neutral and lends to her natural look. 

Anne Hathaway covers Harper’s Bazaar for the month of August 2011 in a glamorous Gucci gown.  It was a red dress with a cascade of gorgeous ruffles, and a plunging neckline.  Her editorial was equally fabulous, think of an outrageously opulent Alexander McQueen look with luxurious details and texture in the skirt.  She’s also pictured in a geometric patterned Prada coat, and a marvelously embroidered Miu Miu piece for the subscribers’ issue.  The delight on her face is evident, it’s like playing dress-up for the camera.

Emma Stone is Vanity Fair’s cover girl for the month of August 2011, and the actress posed pin-up style in a red-and-white striped bikini.  The crimson theme was extended to the font as well as her bold lip color.  She’s set before a backdrop of an ocean of blue water that extends as far as the eye can see.  T has all the ingreThis issue will be on newsstands on Thursday, June 30th.

Mila Kunis covers Flare magazine in Lanvin for the month of August 2011.  Her coral pink dress had an oversized bodice/neckline with a ton of draping; this only added to its artistic design.  I loved the use of the straight skirt to balance the drama in the upper portion.  She struck a pose that highlighted the beauty and silhouette of her look.  They wisely kept her hair and makeup simple to avoid the competition with her outfit.  This issue hits newsstands on Monday, July 11th.

Zoe Saldana is gorgeous on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Russia for July 2011.  The actress donned an all white long sleeved look with soft texture in the bodice.  She also sports dramatic makeup with heavy emphasis on her silver eye lids, vivid red lips and strong brows.  A perfect braid extended to her torso.  Her pose was elegant and graceful, and it contrasted perfectly with the bold cosmetics.

Beyonce covers the July 2011 issue of W magazine in a Louis Vuitton ensemble.  The singer rocked the label’s silk blouse, cashmere shorts, hat and mask.  I love the romance of the white top paired with the structured shorts and military styled hat.  This is a very chic uniform.  The image is high fashion right down to her Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci silk satin bra.  Her wardrobe really pops with a glossy red background.

Eva Longoria covers the July 2011 issue ofInStyle in a MichaelKors swimsuit.  The actress suited up in a white one piece with tanned criss-cross straps to complement her skin tone.  The magazine used warm colors that work beautifully with her brown hair and the caramel highlights framing her face.  We can only see a side profile of her bathing suit, but her look, feel and wardrobe all spelled summer.
