DKNY brought the streets of New York City onto the runway for Spring 2012. Yellow taxi cabs were the backdrop to a collection mixed with structure and ease. This was represented in the tailored pant suits and flowy dresses respectively. I tend to favor fitted over loose fit, but the dresses and tops here had the perfect proportion in their hemlines and slits. The red, white and blue color palette was dramatic, and even patriotic, but it was the monochromatic pink looks that had me salivating in an instant. Those hats were also noteworthy, they added a bit of cosmopolitan chic to the collection.

DKNY Fall 2011 Ad Campaign
DKNY debuted its Fall 2011 campaign with New York City as its backdrop; it captured the essence of the Big Apple. I spied fur and leather alongside tweed and wool. Stripes are definitely on-trend for the autumn season. My favorite, the pink and orange look with the mustard colored cape. That outfit says chic in multiple languages. The ads struck a nice balance of brights and neutrals, leaving it up to your mood.

DKNY has a new campaign for its ‘Be Delicious’ fragrance, it stars models Chanel Iman and Fei Fei Sun. These ads have a natural and wholesome element that’s evident in the makeup and wardrobe. The apple shaped bottle is consistent with those found in nature, and a couple of spritzes a day might be just as beneficial. Photographer Regan Cameron brought the vision to life.
DKNY Fall 2011 Collection – RTW
Color was on the DKNY Girl’s mind for Fall 2011. Vivid colors in orange, mustard and hot pink will have you looking forward to the cold weather. If color were not enough, may they interest you in a cape for the season. Textures and stripes also took their turn down this runway. The hemline was above the knee and the sheer tops remained under jackets. Shoes and socks will make its return for Fall, and when done right, it’s very stylish. A neutral face and centered-part hair finished the looks here at DKNY.
