H&M’s Conscious Campaign Starring Natasha Poly & Lindsey Wixson

H&M is launching the new Conscious Collection, and models Natasha Poly and Lindsey Wixson were tapped for the ad campaign.  This is a line of eco-friendly pieces made from organic materials.  Think pretty spring dresses, shorts and tops in cotton, flax and other recycled fibers.  They come with scalloped hems, eyelet embroidery, fringed and ruffled trims.  These items show that going green can be aesthetically, as well as environmentally beautiful.

Emma Watson’s Free People Spring 2011 Ad Campaign

Emma Watson’s Spring 2011 ad campaign for Free People has been released.  The location is rustic and wholesome, the antiqued bike adds to the charm.  Trees, vines and grass surround the actress who is wearing a black long sleeved cotton romper with relaxed frontal draping.  Everything about this ad calls out to the nature lover in you.  Emma shows a bit of leg, and it’s just a reminder that eco-friendly can also be sexy.  The campaign works because she’s not trying to sell us clothes, but a point of view on the environment.

Emma Watson’s Eco-Friendly Summer Collection

So it’s Earth Day tomorrow,  April 22nd, and it’s only fitting that we present Emma Watson’s eco-friendly clothing line for People Tree.  By now we know that everyone has a duty to the environment every single day, but we take this one day to observe the issues facing it.  In doing so, we educate each other in the hope that we’ll all realize that we can make a difference.  That’s why it’s so important to support designers who accept the challenge and responsibility.  Emma is apparently concerned about her ‘carbon footprint’, and she should be commended.  Besides, her pieces are adorable and stripes are definitely on trend for the season.  You can shop her summer collection now.  It’s a fun line of short dresses, rompers, tops and skirts all made from organic cotton.  Who says you can’t look good for a worthy cause?

Sexy at the Beach

Okay, I admit it. I am in a summer, beach and beauty state of mind.  Rebecca Virtue’s Becca Swim is on my radar today.  She has a line of incredibly sexy swimsuits; they’re so sexy that I was tempted to do a few sit-ups during this post.  Talk about hot.  Jewel tones, Grecian draping, exotic and tropical prints are in this summer, and are often accentuated with gold hardware.  Becca Swim has even created an eco-friendly fabric.  Her advice for looking great this season is to moisturize, protect the skin from the sun, accessorize, and embrace your curves.  That sounds easy enough, especially if we want to pull off these swimsuit looks.

Cameron’s June Cover

Camera Diaz graces the cover of Vogue’s June issue on eco-friendly fashion.  She is the perfect choice for this issue; she’s natural, funny and sexy.  Her ability to laugh at herself is one of the endearing qualities that have propelled her into a star. Take a look at the video of her Vogue photo shoot with fashion photographer, Mario Testino.  She is so engaging, and her winning personality shines through.  Having Cameron Diaz on the cover is a good way to showcase how eco-friendly fashion has evolved into sleek and sexy styles.  How’s that for aspirational?
