Gwyneth Paltrow was the cover girl for Elle magazine’s September issue for 2011, and the actress went sexy and sporty in all black.  I loved the details in her top, the buttons on the sleeves, and the shape of the side pockets were the stand-outs.  The images were clean, and effortless because she was confident enough to be herself.  Even her straight wind-swept hair and flawless nude makeup continued the all-natural theme.

Emma Stone was golden on the cover of Elle for July 2011 in a feathered Versace design.  The bright yellow halter dress was tailor-made for editorial placement.  She accessorized with a geometric necklace that had all the drama befitting this look.  Her hair was lightly wind-swept to mimic the texture in her outfit, and her orange/red lip color was the perfect exclamation point. 

Rachel McAdams covers Elle magazine’s June 2011 issue in Balmain.  The beige jacket came from the Spring 2011 collection.  It was embellished with gold studs in the collar, lapel and sleeves.  A white T-shirt, black leather pants and a wrist full of bangles completed her look.  Her hair was in large curls and her lip color was a bright red that pop.  I love her sheepish grin and that adorable pose.

Gwen Stefani covers Elle magazine’s  ’Music Issue’ for May 2011.  The singer wore a fitted brown and black dress with ivory stripes from Givenchy’s Pre-Fall 2011 collection.  Black leather sleeves, shoulders and side panels made this look a total badass.  Those colors go well with the mustard yellow font on the cover.  I love her platinum blond hair that has great volume for a rocking look.  Her makeup was neutral with a touch of a smoky eye.

Katy Perry strikes a confident pose for the cover of Elle magazine’s March 2011 issue.  She wore a look from Gucci’s Spring 2011 ready-to-wear collection.  The colors are vibrant turquoise, apple green and purple; a lesson in assembling primary colors for the season.  Her editorial featured feathers and animal prints as she prepared to perform.  Katy talks about her figure, life before fame and new husband, Russel Brand inside.  The issue hits the newsstand on February 15th.

Marion Cotillard graced the cover of Elle Singapore’s February 2011 issue.  The actress appeared in a black skirt, minus a shirt and a gorgeous pair of black suede pumps.  We get a side profile of her body, while she faces the camera.   Elle gave us an understated Marion; unfussy hair, minimal makeup and um, wardrobe and she is just as stunning here as on the red carpet.

Naomi Campbell is ElleRussia’s cover girl for February 2011.  The supermodel is decked out in diamonds and a fierce attitude.  She appeared topless and clothed only in intimate apparel, but her skin, hair and makeup are flawless.  Amazingly, Naomi’s  beauty does not diminish with age, she is just as gorgeous as in the early ’90′s.  Apparently, both beauty and diamonds are forever where Ms. Campbell is concerned.

Katie Holmes is the cover girl for Elle’s February 2011 issue.  The actress kept it simple and elegant on the cover in a black tank with cream piping and black slacks.  Simplicity in style can be a virtue.  Inside she talks about her Jackie O portrayal for the History Channel, her clothing line and Suri.  The images are tasteful and pretty, it’s a great way to start the New Year.
