Eva Longoria in J. Mendel at Noble Gift Gala in London

Eva Longoria was a stunner in a J. Mendel design at the Noble Gift Gala in London. The actress donned a draped gown with a plunging neckline and criss-cross back. It also had a sweeping train that gently fell to the floor. She accessorized with a cream-and-gold minaudiere. Her makeup was neutral, but she emphasized her eyes with dark lashes and eye-liner. The hair was styled in a messy updo with side-swept bangs.

Eva Longoria in Victoria Beckham at Hollywood Style Awards

Eva Longoria wore a Victoria Beckham sheath to the 2011 Hollywood Style Awards. The actress was beautiful in a sleeveless toffee colored dress with a high collar. It had beautiful angles at the neckline and in the designs in the bodice. She accessorized with black high heels with a modern flare, but her earrings contrasted the lines in her attire with an oval shape. Her hair was styled over the right shoulder in soft curls, and the makeup was in a neutral color palette to complement her look for the evening.

Eva Longoria was all smiles in Los Angeles in a yellow minidress with a sculpted skirt.  the color went well with her tanned skin.  The fitted tank-styled top only highlighted the volume in the lower half.  Its mid-thigh length was flattering on the actress’ petite figure.  Her nude platform sandals elongated her legs, as did the hemline.

Eva Longoria for ‘Haute Living’ July 2011

Eva Longoria stars in a Haute Living editorial for July 2011 in luxurious looks from Alexander McQueen, Antonio Berardi to Salvatore Ferragamo.  These black-and-white images stood out more than the colored photos because of their artistic value.  They also forces one to be more creative in determining the colors of the garments from the richness of the fabrics.  The images are romantic with a touch of melancholy.

Eva Longoria in Victoria Beckham at Barnes & Noble

Eva Longoria continues her book tour in the most stylist looks. She wore another Victoria Beckham dress to promote “Eva’s Kitchen” at Barnes & Noble. This time it was a one-shoulder goddess dress in a pale champagne. It had soft draping in the bodice and skirt and it fell right on the knee. Her platformed pumps were of the same color. I loved the hair because it complemented the style of her outfit. Eva opted for a pair of dangling jade earrings which along with the champagne hue had her color coordinated with the background.

Golden Globes 2011 – Best Dressed List

Anne Hathaway in Giogio Armani Prive

Mila Kunis in Vera Wang

Piper Perabo in Oscar de la Renta

Elisabeth Moss in Donna Karan

Eva Longoria in Zac Posen

Emma Stone in Calvin Klein

The stars brought their A-game to the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards show last night.  So many fabulous gowns walked the red carpet that it was a challenge to pick just five, so we chose six.  Anne Hathaway was glamorous all the way in a sequined Giorgio Armani Prive gown.  The floor length bronze number had a hint of the 1980′s without sacrificing modernity.  A cognac colored evening bag and cocktail ring fully complemented her dress, but it was the hair and makeup that gave her a flawless finish.

Emerald green was the reigning color of the evening and both Mila Kunis in Vera Wang and Elisabeth  Moss Donna Karan rocked this trend to perfection.  Mila wore a one-shoulder goddess-like gown with a fitted bodice and sweeping train.  Her hair was just right for the dress, in a sophisticated bun.  Elisabeth went with a strapless dress with beautiful ruching details in the upper bodice.  It lightly skimmed her curves and gracefully fell to the floor.  The chandelier earrings were a great touch, especially since she went without a necklace.  Her blowout was fun and sexy, and had nice movement.

The color black did not dominate the carpet this year, but there were two noteworthy contenders.  Piper  Perabo wore a black Oscar de la Renta and Eva  Longoria went with a black Zac Posen; both ladies were stunning.  Piper’s dress was chic and sophisticated.  It managed to be sleek even with a bow on the shoulder strap and a bustle in the back.   Her hair was styled in a ponytail that echoed the elegance of the gown.  Eva was a lady on a mission last night, and it was accomplished.  She wore a super sex gown with a low-cut diamond shaped neckline, capped sleeves and an entrance making train.  Her hair was styled in a side swept up-do and her makeup was radiant and neutral.

The simplicity of Emma Stone’s gown was unmistakably Calvin Klein.  This was modern at its finest; capped sleeves and a crew neckline.  It had a gorgeous sorbet peach color that instantly brightened the red carpet.   Her blond hair and tanned skin were in harmony with her dress color.  A multi-colored clutch finished-off her look.  On review of this list, we found that celebrities and their stylists overwhelmingly selected American designers for the Globes.  Will this trend continue for the other awards shows?  We will tune-in.

Behind the Scenes: Christina Hendrick’s London Fog Campaign

Images via NY Mag

Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks is the new spokesperson for London Fog.  We usually associate the actress with gorgeous dresses that are flattering to her figure, and I envision that Hendricks will do wonders for trench coats.  She appears in the labels Fall 2010 ad campaign shot by photographer Nino Munoz.  Former leading ladies at London Fog includes Gisele Bundchen and Eva Longoria.  The ads are quite alluring and surprisingly high-fashion.  It’s safe to say that the company will definitely see an increase in sales, sooner than later.
