Kate Middleton Wore Alexander McQueen for Royal Wedding

Kate Middleton selected a gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen for her royal wedding. She married Prince William today, April 29, 2011. The dress was made of Chantilly lace with a V- neck and a beautiful bustle. It had a traditional element with a modern temperament. She was remarkably graceful and self-assured under such scrutiny. Kate completed her bridal look with McQueen shoes and a Cartier tiara, borrowed from the Queen.

Eva Mendes in Donna Karan at Vanity Fair Party

Eva Mendes was in Donna Karan New York at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party last night.  She wore a black ensemble with tulle and iridescent beading in the bodice.  It clasped in front and gave an illusion of skin, while the sheer capped-sleeves offered more modesty.  The full skirt was made of tulle, and she looked like a fierce ballerina.  Eva accessorized with a pair of black peeped-toe pumps and black clutch.  Her makeup was stunning as usual, classic and neutral.

Emmy Rossum in Etro for Vegas Mag’s Bash

Emmy Rossum gave the red carpet a run for its money in a red Etro design at Vegas Magazine’s Bash for its February issue.  She is also the cover girl.  The dress had two varying shades of red, they were vibrant jewel toned colors of ruby red and burgundy.  It also had a fitted faux wrap bodice and a thigh-high slit.  Emmy’s crimson red lip color was rich and bold.  Her hair was styled in beautiful shoulder length waves.

Jessica Alba kept it retro-chic in her embellished one-shoulder Gucci dress at the Gucci Rue Royale party.  It worked on so many levels, from the dazzling bead-work down to the fabulous fit and silhouette.  The marks of quality are style factor, wearability and timelessness, and this dress qualifies on all counts.  Sleek hair and classically beautiful makeup merged well with this metallic vintaged look. Her champagne peeped toe heels and embellished evening bag were the perfect finish to this red carpet stunner.

Michelle Obama in Rachel Roy at State of The Union

Michelle Obama wore a Rachel Roy design to the State of the Union address last night.  The three-quarter length sleeved dress was in a neutral shade of grey with a subtle detail at the neckline.  It was understated and graceful; very befitting of a first lady.  Her makeup was classic and her hair was styled in a lovely bob.  The earrings and bracelets were a nice complement to the dress, and they added an exclamation point to her look.  This was a home-run for designer Rachel Roy, dressing Mrs. Obama is still a major accomplishment.

Michelle O’bama Wore Alexander McQueen at 2011 China State Dinner

Michelle Obama went the avant garde route with her dress selection for the 2011 State Dinner with China this evening.  She wore a red Alexander McQueen print gown in silk chiffon.  It was an excellent choice.  The color alone made it extremely wise because of its symbolic meaning in Chinese culture, ‘good luck’.  This was also a winner because of its style quotient.  It was sleeveless and showcased her fabulous arms and shoulders.  The print gave her dress texture and depth, similar to a painting.  In a word, it was positively regal.

Demi Moore in Carven Dress at ‘No Strings Attached’ Premiere

Demi Moore stepped out on the red carpet for the premiere of No String Attached with husband Ashton Kutcher in a Carven dress.  It was short and black with two frontal zippers extending to the full length of the dress.  The little number was sleeveless and fully textured with ruching throughout.  She accessorized with a pair of black platformed pumps, black clutch and a black -and-white bracelet.  Demi’s hair was up in a roll with lots of height in the front.  Her makeup was flawless; simply neutral and gorgeous.

Zoe Saldana in J. Mendel for Audi and J. Mendel Golden Globes Event

Zoe Saldana kept it sweet and sexy in a leather J. Mendel dress at the Audi and J. Mendel event to celebrate the start of Golden Globe Awards week.  The actress wore a strapless mini-dress with beautiful frontal draping and ruffles.  The light grey color gave it a clean aesthetic, and the gorgeous details were ultra feminine even in leather.  Her shoes were of a burgundy hue that gave her look a pop of color.  The clutch was burgundy as well with ornate embellished details.  Zoe’s stylist had done her homework and paid attention to details;  the look fully complemented the red carpet backdrop.

Anne Hathaway in J. Mendel at Nobel Peace Prize Concert

Anne Hathaway was stunning in J. Mendel at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert over the weekend.  The actress wore a strapless metallic gown with a heart-shaped bodice.  She went Old Hollywood glam, its in the beautiful sculpting of the hair, and the drama in the brows and lip color.  Anne’s dress had an iridescent shine befitting the star.  It had sleek draping and gathering at the upper right hip.  Her jewelry was limited to a pair of dangling diamond earrings and bracelet.  She was joined on stage with actor Denzel Washington during their presentation.
