Halle Berry in Balmain at Frankie & Alice Premiere

Image via The YBF

Halle Berry wore a Balmain pantsuit to the Los Angeles premiere of her film Frankie & Alice.  The black and gold jacquard suit was fitted to perfection; her double-breasted jacket had strong shoulders with a cinched waist and the pant hem fell to the floor revealing only the tip of her pointy toe stilettos.  A low-cut black top completed the look from Balmain’s Fall 2010 collection.  It was so rich with texture and pattern that it required little jewelry, thin gold hoop earrings.  Halle’s suit option did not detract from her red carpet style because it was so opulent, it rivaled most dresses.

Gwyneth Paltrow Was Stunning in Atelier Versace at 2010 CMA Awards

Gwyneth Paltrow was gorgeous in Atelier Versace at the 2010 CMA Awards last night.  The actress brought her A-game to the red carpet in this Fall 2010 beauty.  It was provocative without the slightest bit of vulgarity.  This one-shoulder gown was stunning from the peek-a-boo side cut-out down to the thigh-high slit.  It boasted a beautiful tie-dye effect,  the gradation of colors was sublime.  I loved the color combination of charcoal gray, light grey and soft pink.  Her peep-toe platform heels in light grey were the perfect accent for this dress.  Both Gwyneth and Atelier Versace had a shining moment on this carpet, she was easily one of the best dressed of the evening.

Christina Ricci Was Graceful in Marchesa

Christina Ricci was graceful in Marchesa at the 2010 Library Lions Benefit in New York City.  Her ensemble is from the Fall 2010 collection.  The skirt is a sweet confection of ruffles and tulle, reminiscent of a tutu; it gives Ms. Ricci an opportunity to live out our fantasy of beng a ballerina.  The tuxedo jacket is cut beautifully to accommodate the fullness of the ruffles from the skirt.  She paired it with black tights and a black satin clutch.  Her look was feminine and tailored, the perfect combination.  Ricci opted for a bright red pout with the neutral colored outfit and wore her hair up with side-swept bangs.

Olivia Palermo has successfully transitioned from reality television star to campaign model.  The New York City socialite stars in Mango’s Fall 2010 ad campaign with her boyfriend Johannes Huebl.  She looks great in front of the camera, maybe she received a few tips from Johannes, a professional model.  Mango has a darling collection of cute dresses and separates that would be perfect during the Holiday season.  They are chic and affordable.

Eva Mendes In Atelier Versace at Rome Film Festival

Eva Mendes has apparently decided that when in Rome, you wear Versace.  The actress selected an Atelier Versace rose colored gown for an event during the Rome Film Festival.  She was glammed up in a mix of fringe and sparkles in a hue that highlighted her skin tone.  Her halter-styled neckline was flattering and so was the faux sleeve on the left.  It was fitted, yet had hints of drapery in both the sleeve and lower portion.  Eva looked stunning and was definitely channeling the movie star within.  You wear a dress like this when you want to be the belle of the ball, and I’d say, mission accomplished.

Kate Moss for Valisere’s Lingerie Ad Campaign

Images via Fashionising

Kate Moss is the new face for the Fall 2010 ad campaign for Valisere’s lingerie.  The model strikes a pose in a few alluring pieces from the Brazilian collection.  They were shot in a bedroom because of the intimacy of the garments.  This campaign features sexy lace and cotton bras and panties in black, red, blue and floral print.  The images are not overly seductive, they have a bit of modesty that tends to be very sexy.

Lindsey Wixson for Versace’s Vanitas Fragrance

Image via Model.com

Lindsey Wixson is the face of Versace’s new Vanitas fragrance.  The sixteen year old is featured in the Fall 2010 campaign.  She looks rather angelic in the ad wearing a dress from Versace’s Pre-Fall 2010 collection.  The navy gown with silver straps and details is perfect for this scene.  I also get a cool arctic vibe whenever I view the image shot by photographer Craig McDean.  This is a new look for Wixson; her hair is blonder, but you can always spot those piercing eyes and pouty lips.  It’s the image of a confident lady who is in control of herself and her surroundings; her eyes tell the story.

RollCall: FNO NYC Fall 2010: Bergdorf’s and I Heart Ronson Events

Handbag Tinsley Mortimer next to Celebrity Stylist Robert Verdi

Fashion Designer Monique Lhuillier on the far left

Fashion’s Night Out 2010 was even more fun filled and exciting than last year.  The crowds were bigger, the lines were longer and the patrons were happier.  Bergdorf Goodman was my first stop and I was met by a line that was three rows deep.  I decided to stick around because I was already sold on the canine runway.  On the judging panel was fashion designer Monique Lhuillier and handbag designer Tinsley Mortimer.  Celebrity stylist Robert Verdi hosted the event.

Fashion Designer Charlotte Ronson at her I Heart Ronson event

Gossip Girl’s Michelle Tractenberg and Charlotte Ronson

I did not get to see the entire canine runway unfold because I had to make press check-in at the I Heart Ronson event downtown.  The designer made her appearance with Gossip Girl’s Michelle Tractenberg.  The music was rocking upon entering the event, and I noticed that Ronson’s sister, Samantha, was the D.J.  It was a lovely cupcake and tea social, and a sweet way to end a long day at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Alexander Wang Taps Zoe Kravitz for Fall 2010 Ad

Zoe Kravitz is one of the new faces of Alexander Wang’s Fall 2010 ad campaign.  The daughter of rocker Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet has grown up.  This collaboration was tailor-made because she has the cool girl credibility needed to front this brand.  It’s no secret that Zoe has been a loyal follower of the label, and it has paid off big time.  Dan Jackson captured the black-and-white shot with model Max Motta.  New Yorkers will get the larger than life effect of the ad on billboards starting Monday, August 16th.
