January Jones in Preen at X-Men: First Class Premiere

Image via InStyle

January Jones attended the X-Men: First Class premiere looking very fashionable in a Preen design.  The expectant mother selected an off-the-shoulder purple and black dress with lovely draping and a strategically placed knot in front.  Its three-quartered sleeves and asymmetrical hemline made it modern and timely.  She wore a pair of peeped-toe high heeled sandals and a gold watch to complete her look.

January Jones Covers W Mag for May 2011 in Armani

January Jones covers the May 2011 issue of W magazine in a Lisa Marie Fernandez swimsuit. For the subscription cover, she dons a Giorgio Armani dress and jacket.  Photographer Craig McDean captured the “Mad Men” actress for this issue.  Her all black editorial is rather sexy, and made possible by stylist Lori Goldstein.  The former model turned actor knows her angles, and the camera loves her.  Inside she talks about her role in the upcoming “X-Men” movie and her television character, Betty Drapper.

January Jones for Versace’s Spring 2011 Ad Campaign

It was previously revealed that January Jones would be the new face for Versace’s Spring 2011 ad campaign.  Today we learned she was also the body for the design house.  The actress appears sans clothes, but clothed in accessories in her new ads.   Fashion photographer Mario Testino was at the helm of this shoot.  It has an artistic quality,  from the black-and-white images, superb lighting, right down to the geometric patterns embedded within the strategically placed handbags.  Let’s not forget the killer shoes, a pair of stiletto pumps and a pair of sandals with ankle straps.  With the addition of picture perfect makeup and well-coiffed hair, January was ready for her close-up.  If one must go naked, this is how it should be done, very tastefully.

January Jones at Central Saint Martins 20:20 Fund in London

January Jones was sophisticated in Versace at the launch of Central Saint Martins 20:20 Fashion Fund.  The actress is in town filming for her uncoming movie, X-Men.  She wore a little black dress with a hemline that fell just below the knee.  It hails from the Spring 2011 collection, and it was the perfect cocktail dress for the event.  Everything about it was lady-like, even the sexy cut-outs on the sides and in the back.  Her golden hair was in an upswept bun that fully complemented her look for the evening.  January completed her chic and elegant look with a pair of black heels and no visible jewelry.

January Jones Wore Versace to Mad Men’s Times Square Premiere

January Jones and Elisabeth Moss were front and center at the premiere of Mad Men in New York City last night.  Jones wore a super sexy white Versace dress with beading.  Moss was also sparkling in a nude color dress accented with glistening beading.  You would never see this much skin on either of their characters, Betty Draper or Peggy Olsen, and I’m loving it.  They made the event glamorous and stylish for their dedicated fans.  The premiere was watched on a wide screen in Times Square among 10,000 of their closest fans.  At the end of the day, maybe it’s about public relations instead of advertising.

Red Carpet at 2010 Golden Globes:

Kate Hudson gets our best dressed vote because of the shape and structure of her gown.  The actress was one of four clients styled by Rachel Zoe at the Globes, and she had us talking about the gown, not her personal life.  Her gown stood out because it was a visual delight, the eyes wanted to feast on each origami fold.

Drew Barrymore’s Versace Atelier gown was beautifully draped and beaded.  The nude color was also on trend.  Many questioned the embellishments attached to the shoulder and hip, but I say that Drew has the personality to pull it off.  All I can see here is glitz and glamour, and that’s just what the Golden Globes ordered.

Emily Blunt’s Dolce & Gabanna gown was elegant and sweet on the red carpet.  The bustier top, fitted skirt and a slight mermaid bottom provided the actress with a beautiful silhouette.  The gown followed both the ruffled and color trend of the evening.  She was accompanined by her fiance John Krasinski in Prada.

January Jones was loe’ly in Lanvin.  The back cut-out and perfectly sculpted ruffles make this gown a stand-out instead of relegating it as ‘just another black dress’.  It was deceptively simple with intricate detailing.

Chloe Sevigny made the list because she selected this Valentino gown that many women would not have attempted on the red carpet.  It’s a beautiful gown that challenges the narrow standards of beauty.  The gown needed a woman who had a strong sense of self, and it found that in Chloe.
