Fendi had retro shapes and sensibilites for Spring 2012. The color palette was black and white with blue stripes and pops of color throughout. This collection took its inspiration from the 1950′s, it was visible in the exaggerated sleeves and slightly fuller skirts. Everything was updated with above the knee hemlines, and more refined details. The hair was intentionally teased and wind-swept to contrast the well-made pieces on the runway.

Scarlett Johansson made a stylish entrance to the front row at Dolce & Gabbana’s runway show in Milan. She wore sleeveless lace sheath in a nude color palette. A sheer neckline was balanced by a translucent hemline. The actress wisely opted for a vibrant crimson lip-color to contrast the pale shade in her dress against her skin. My favorite was the high heels in animal print, they were unexpected, but a perfect choice. They provided her look with a current and modern touch.

Here the textile was as noteworthy as designs themselves, I loved the mix of colors and patterns. These looks were strong and held their own allure. The leather jacket with peek-a-boo cut-outs in the shoulders and sleeves comes to mind.

Dolce & Gabbana gave us feminine florals for Spring 2012. Some looks were stunning and sheer, while others had gorgeous appliques. This runway was a garden of wearable decadence. The collection was romantic, yet it had a subtle allure. It also had a lady-like vibe that was reminiscent of the 1940′s. The prints were rich and had a Fall-like richness, but they are perfectly suited for this season.
