Last night I attended the J.Crew Fall 2011 Collection press preview and was met with chic and glamour right at the front door.  Sequins, silk and cashmere were combined with cotton, denim and wool.  Their colors ranged from burgundy, purple and lilac to orange, peach and mustard.  The outerwear were the centerpiece of the collection, I was obsessed with the double-breasted self-belted coats.  Let’s not forget those gorgeous accessories, the bags came in the form of satchels, clutches and shoulder straps handbags.  They were in olive green, brown, tan and a vibrant cherry red.  Those blue strappy high-heeled pumps also caught my eye.  The styling was pretty fabulous as well, wide-legged pants were paired with fitted sweaters with oxford shirts underneath, and skinny pants with fuller coats.  These looks were stylishly preppy and beautiful.

Color-blocking was the central  theme at Milly by Michelle Smith’s Fall 2011 collection.  The colors were vibrant and cheerful in tangerine, orange, fuchsia, green and purple.  These pieces were so gorgeous, we will be counting down the days to autumn.  I loved how the jackets were cut away from the body, and the sleeve lengths fell at the elbows.  The designer added bold prints in subtle colors, and they worked well alongside the vivid pi

Beautifully textured, red carpet ready gowns were the story at Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2011 runway show.  Some had voluminous skirts rich with details and fitted bodices.  A gorgeous leopard print dress had a bodyhugging fit, and fell into a mermaid hemline.  This collection was visually decadent, and a pleasure to see on the catwalk.  It will definitely be a favorite for young Hollywood starlets.
