H&M’s Conscious Campaign Starring Natasha Poly & Lindsey Wixson

H&M is launching the new Conscious Collection, and models Natasha Poly and Lindsey Wixson were tapped for the ad campaign.  This is a line of eco-friendly pieces made from organic materials.  Think pretty spring dresses, shorts and tops in cotton, flax and other recycled fibers.  They come with scalloped hems, eyelet embroidery, fringed and ruffled trims.  These items show that going green can be aesthetically, as well as environmentally beautiful.

Preview: Lanvin for H&M Ad

Here’s a preview of what’s to come from the Lanvin for H&M collaboration.  One look at the first the ad campaign and I’m already smittened.  There’s draping, texture, pattern and even a little sheen.  It’s all in the detail, like the beautiful one-shoulder bow dress or the lovely print from the belted coat dress.  These little black dress are the dreams of the stylish and budget conscious.  Luckily, the collection launches in stores on November 23rd.  Let the Holiday celebrations begin.

Natasha Poly is Russian Vogue’s January 2010 Cover

natasha_poly_january2010_voguerussiModel Natasha Poly is the covergirl for Russian Vogue’s January issueMerely looking at the cover will elicit a wow!  The word bombshell also comes to mind.  Natasha is so Marilyn Monroe-esque in this shot.  The photo is reminiscent of Marilyn Monroes’s infamous happy birthday rendition to President John F. Kennedy.  She appears to be channeling Marilyn from the beautiful blonde tresses down to the sparkly gown Monroe had to be sown into prior to going on stage.  Poly definitely has the sexy and sultry look down to a science.  If this cover is indicative of future covers in 2010, we  have a very fashionable year ahead.

Vogue’s Top Models

Vogue magazine’s May cover is usually reserved for the top models, and this May will be no different. No celebrities needed this month. Even more interesting is that Liya Kebede and Jourdan Dunn are on the cover and on the inside fold respectively. May marks the third consecutive month that a woman of color appears on the cover of Vogue.  Michelle Obama appeared on the cover in March, Beyonce in April, and now Liya and Jourdan in May.  The cover is pretty fantastic and all the models look beautiful: Natalia Vodianova, Raquel Zimmermann, Isabeli Fontana, Anna Jagodzinska, Lara Stone, Caroline Trentini and Natasha Poly.
