Yesterday was all about the metallics at the Emmys, but I could not let this dress go by unacknowledged.  To borrow the line from “Jerry Maguire”, ‘[it] had me at hello.”  The dress made its red carpet appearance on actress Jennifer Carpenter of “Dexter”.  What’s not to love about this gown?  It’s sexy and feminine; I think of romance in Paris whenever I look at it.  The combination of the nude chiffon and beautiful beading throughout the dress is perfection.  Might I also add that the vertical placement of the beading around the thigh is quite slimming.  The gown is a Zuhair Murad creation.

The vibrant colors and flattering silhouette of this dress caught my eye; it’s ladylike without being too formal.  The lime green and lemon yellow sherbert print dress is perfect for summer, and is from the spring/summer 2009 collection of new designer Rafael Cennamo.  The Miami-based designer is known for his signature of bold colors and luxurious fabrics, all in his usual dramatic fashion.  His young and flirty style is most likely influenced by the heat filled days and nights in Miami.

Rafael Cennamo is the new designer in our ‘little black dress’ series.  His dress for pre-fall 2009 is young and flirtatious.  Every young woman should also own a little black dress.

It is Grecian inspired with gold embellishments surrounding the neckline and waistline.  You will look and feel like a goddess in this dress.
