Nicole Kidman made an impression at the screening of “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan” in Elie Saab. The red dress had a peplum design and low-cut neckline. It was fitted in the bodice and skirt with flirty details at the shoulders and waist. She wore a pair of nude strappy sandals to elongate her legs, and a wine colored clutch to avoid the matchy effect. Her hair was a cascade of soft curls. A crimson lipcolor complemented her look perfectly, and accentuated her blue eyes.

Nicole Kidman covers the February 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.  The actress posed in a white Diane von Furstenberg halter dress for the magazine’s Spring Fashion publication.  These images embody the lightness and beauty of springtime.  Nicole’s strawberry blond hair is gorgeous under the sunlight in loose curls just below her shoulders.  Inside she was interviewed by fellow actress Jennifer Aniston, which is reason enough to pick up a copy.  This issue will be on newsstands on Tuesday, January 18th.

The nominations for the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards have been announced.  Some of our favorite red carpet actresses are in contention, that means we will have a real life runway showdown. 

In the race for Best Actress in a Drama, we have:

• Natalie Portman for Black Swan
• Halle Berry for Frankie & Alice
• Michelle Williams for Blue valentine
• Nicole Kidman for Rabbit Hole

The Globe will be broadcasted on NBC on Sunday, January 16, 2011 from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.  We can’t wait to hear the anwsers to the most pressing question of the evening, “who are you wearing?”

Jenny Packham’s Spring 2011 collection was explosive from the first look - think of a sheer jumpsuit with sparkling bead work strategically placed for modesty.  From there on, our senses were overloaded with one gorgeous gown after another.  Each dress managed to be more dazzling than the next.  It was a muted color palette of grayish-blue, nude, rust, silver and gold.  The brilliance from the embellishments created visual interest, and the beading themselves gave texture to the collection.  We were enraptured by the full frontal glamour of Old Hollywood at Jenny Packham’s Spring 2011 runway show.

Nine opens in theaters on Friday, December 18th in limited release, and many are eagerly awaiting the musical.  The film opens in full release on December 25th.  It is filled with many stars like Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Judi Dench, Nicole Kidman, and Fergie.  That’s six good reasons to go out and see it.  If you need additional reasons, the costumes, singing and dancing should suffice.  Fergie is in her element, and we’ve already seen impressive clips of Kate Hudson’s singing.  The musical has so much energy and looks like an incredible amount of fun to watch.  Even the rehearsal will have you tapping your feet.  The movie has already been nominated for five Golden Globes awards, including Best Supporting Actress for Penelope Cruz.  So we’ve added Nine to our Rollcall list this week.  Maybe it will make your list of movies to see as well.
