Amanda Seyfried covers Marie Claire for April 2011.  The actress gracesthe newsstand issue in Chanel, and the subscribers issue in Prada.  Both are from their respective Spring 2011 collections.  Her editorial is very romantic, think floral, feminine and animal prints.    Even the props conveyed the theme, like a blanket with rose appliques affixed or a white piece of tulle fabric used as a barrier between Amanda and the camera.  The designers inside ranged from Emilio Pucci to Roberto Cavalli.Photographer Matthias Vriens-McGrath captured these beautiful images.

Roberto Cavalli Spring 2011 Ad Campaign

Roberto Cavalli had a trifecta when he enlisted Laetitia Casta, Joan Smalls and Malgosia Bela for his Spring 2011 ad campaign.  The ads are rocker chic with fringes, peep-a-boo cut-outs, low rise pants and sheer dresses everywhere.  Movement and motion best describes the scenes with their updated retro vibe.  Mert & Marcus brought the edginess and vibrancy of the collection to life.

Milan: Roberto Cavalli Spring 2011

Images via NYMag

Roberto Cavalli celebrated his 40th Anniversary this season with a collection of tantalizing dresses in animal prints and fringe detail.  There was something aboriginal and native about this collection, yet it also managed to be soft and pretty.  That’s a difficult task.  The dresses were light as a feather and floated effortlessly in the wind.  Cavalli also designed sexy low-slung pants with a lace-up detail.  Fringe was central to this collection, it appeared to have an influence of hippie chic, only way chicer and far more daring.  The color palette was muted and subdued, probably because the prints were so bold.
