Uma Thurman was gorgeous in Carolina Herrera at the 2011 Golden Heart Awards in New York City. She wore a floor-length gown with beautiful ruffled detail, and a faux wrap design that extended to the length of the dress. It was in a red and white print with a plunging neckline, and cap sleeves. A pair of pearl drop earrings mimicked the patterns in her outfit. The makeup was classic, neutral eyes and lips, and her hair was styled in soft shoulder-length curls.

Uma Thurman opted for a sleek Ralph Lauren look for the Vertu event in Milan. Her black tuxedo style ensemble involved a one-shoulder blouse paired with an ankle length skirt. It was elegant attire for this evening affair. The satin finish of her top contrasted beautifully with the matte bottom. Both pieces were unified by a belt with metallic hardware. She accessorized with sling back heels, a clutch and diamonds. Her makeup was classic, with a glossy lip, and the hair had volume and curls. Her look was reminiscent of Lauren Bacall, strong and gorgeous.

Uma Thurman graced the red carpet in a white Versace gown at the Cannes Film Festival in France.  It had a bustier-styled bodice that sculpted the actress’ body perfectly.  The skirt was adorned in feathers that added drama and intrigue to the dress.   Dangling turquoise earrings and a bracelet completed this fabulous look.  She was gorgeous with her hair in a sophisticated up-do and beautifully applied makeup.

Three dynamos have teamed up in the fight against cancer.  Actress Uma Thurman was named the new ambassador for Saks’ Key for the Cure annual event this year.  Donna Karan designed the T-shirt to raise funds that will help eradicate the disease.   The designer says, “[f]or me, it’s not just about dressing women; it’s about addressing the issues that are so important to all of us.”  Uma Thurman takes the mantle from model Heidi Klum who served as ambassador last year.  “Everyone I know has been affected by breast cancer one way or the other,” says Thurman. “It is vital that we work toward a cure as well as develop more accurate and advance testing.”  The long-sleeved T-shirt has a great graphic print with various shades of pink.  It will retail for $35 each and sold at Saks Fifth Avenue stores, and online at Saks.com.  Get ready to start shopping for a good cause on October 1st when it goes on sale.    All of the proceeds raised will go to local charities.  The annual shopping event will be from October 19th – 24th.

Uma Thurman Helps to Find the Key to the Cure Through Fashion [Style Watch]

 I’m a fan of this Lanvin coat worn by Uma Thurman to the Opening Night Gala, and the premiere of Motherhood in Chicago.  Ms. Thurman was honored with a Career Achievement Award, and she did dress the part.  Beautiful coats are on my radar right now because it’s been getting cooler here in New York City.   The coat is reminiscent of a mens tails jacket, and would immediately add a bit of elegance to any look.  It’s even a little edgey; I would love it with a pair of dark washed skinny jeans and a bright colored cashmere sweater.  While I’m at it, let’s throw on a pair of thigh high boots and a chunky necklace, and let’s have a girl’s night out.
