Sarah Jessica Parker in Vera Wang at ‘I Don’t Know How She Does It’ Premiere in Australia
Sarah Jessica Parker wore a multi-colored Vera Wang design to the Australian premiere of “I Don’t Know How She Does It.” The dress had a gorgeous print in the bodice, skirt, and lower sleeves, all on a yellow background. It was fitted with a drawstring at the waist. She accessorized with ivory heels, and a seafoam green necklace. The actress had her hair styled in her signature waves, and the makeup was in a neutral palette.

Maria Sharapova in Vera Wang at Her Cole Haan Collaboration Event
Maria Sharapova wore Vera Wang to the launch of her latest Cole Haan collaboration accessories line. She selected a pale grey, chiffon dress with gathered details in the front. It also had a high neckline, and fell right at knee length. The translucent sleeves, and slight pleating in the skirt highlighted the feminine design. Her gray peep-toe shoes and clutch came from her collection; they gave the pretty dress a little edge.
Watch: Leighton Meester for Vera Wang’s ‘Lovestuck’ Commercial
Leighton Meester’s 40-second commercial for Vera Wang’s “Lovestruck” fragrance is nothing short of a modern day fairy tale. You know the classic stories where the prince comes and rescues the princess. Here she waited patiently on a New York City fire escape in a gorgeous designer gown. Of course he arrived with a bouquet in hand, and gets the girl. The storyline comes straight from the scent’s name.
Vera Wang’s ‘Lovestruck’ Fragrance Campaign Stars Leighton Meester
Vera Wang’s new fragrance, Lovestruck, has a campaign that is nothing short of a modern day Romeo and Juliet. It stars Leighton Meester on a fire escape with an admirer offering a bouquet of flowers. She is wearing a strapless burgundy gown with a voluminous hemline that is in contrast to the fitted bodice. Her beau is dressed down in a black leather jacket and denim jeans. I also love the juxtaposition of this glamorous dress against the rustic make-shift balcony in an urban location. This ad transported beauty into unlikely places and gave it new life.
Vera Wang Designs Bridesmaid Collection for David’s Bridal
Vera Wang has given us a taste of her upcoming bridesmaid collection for David’s Bridal. This dress is seriously gorgeous. It is in danger of upstaging most bridal gowns. I love the volume in the skirt, it clearly took its inspiration from a bouquet of roses. The one shoulder design has a pretty bow on the upper back corner, a welcomed and unexpected detail. A black sash finishes the look. There will be seven dresses in this collection, and they will range from $158 to $200 each. They make their debut in June. Finally, bridesmaids dresses that you will actually want to wear.

Golden Globes 2011 – Best Dressed List
Anne Hathaway in Giogio Armani Prive
Mila Kunis in Vera Wang
Piper Perabo in Oscar de la Renta
Elisabeth Moss in Donna Karan
Eva Longoria in Zac Posen
Emma Stone in Calvin Klein
The stars brought their A-game to the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards show last night. So many fabulous gowns walked the red carpet that it was a challenge to pick just five, so we chose six. Anne Hathaway was glamorous all the way in a sequined Giorgio Armani Prive gown. The floor length bronze number had a hint of the 1980′s without sacrificing modernity. A cognac colored evening bag and cocktail ring fully complemented her dress, but it was the hair and makeup that gave her a flawless finish.
Emerald green was the reigning color of the evening and both Mila Kunis in Vera Wang and Elisabeth Moss Donna Karan rocked this trend to perfection. Mila wore a one-shoulder goddess-like gown with a fitted bodice and sweeping train. Her hair was just right for the dress, in a sophisticated bun. Elisabeth went with a strapless dress with beautiful ruching details in the upper bodice. It lightly skimmed her curves and gracefully fell to the floor. The chandelier earrings were a great touch, especially since she went without a necklace. Her blowout was fun and sexy, and had nice movement.
The color black did not dominate the carpet this year, but there were two noteworthy contenders. Piper Perabo wore a black Oscar de la Renta and Eva Longoria went with a black Zac Posen; both ladies were stunning. Piper’s dress was chic and sophisticated. It managed to be sleek even with a bow on the shoulder strap and a bustle in the back. Her hair was styled in a ponytail that echoed the elegance of the gown. Eva was a lady on a mission last night, and it was accomplished. She wore a super sex gown with a low-cut diamond shaped neckline, capped sleeves and an entrance making train. Her hair was styled in a side swept up-do and her makeup was radiant and neutral.
The simplicity of Emma Stone’s gown was unmistakably Calvin Klein. This was modern at its finest; capped sleeves and a crew neckline. It had a gorgeous sorbet peach color that instantly brightened the red carpet. Her blond hair and tanned skin were in harmony with her dress color. A multi-colored clutch finished-off her look. On review of this list, we found that celebrities and their stylists overwhelmingly selected American designers for the Globes. Will this trend continue for the other awards shows? We will tune-in.
