The metallics told the story at Gianfranco Ferre’s Fall 2011 show in Milan.  This collection was balanced with structured jackets and coats, along with perfectly tailored pants.  However,  it was the body hugging silver and gold dresses that took the lead on this runway.  They were sexy in silhouette, yet there hemlines hovered at or below the knee.  A mix of the provocative and the demure, that is an unbeatable combination.  Each dress sparkled with embellishment or just from the iridescence of the fabric.  Ferre made cocktail chic dazzling for Fall 2011.
