Nina Ricci was inspired by royalty for its Spring 2012 show in Paris. Tiaras and elegance go together beautifully, and the fashion house served up both on the runway. It was no doubt influenced by the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, who captured the people’s imagination over the summer. Chic turbans also accompanied some of the looks. A navy, white and pink color palette was enhance by a neutral, floral print. Leather was right at home next to satin and sheers. This woman is versatile, she has the option of knee-length or minis, and straight or A-line skirts for the season. Though the collection was flirty, she was always a lady, the light and flowy gowns with gold trim assured this fact.
