Anne Hathaway Wore Oscar de la Renta in Sydney

Anne Hathaway wore Oscar de la Renta in Sydney, Australia as she promoted Love & Other Drugs with her co-star Jake Gyllenhaal.  Her sequined metallic mini-dress had a mod-like quality that was present in both its shape and three-quarter length sleeves.  The gold sequins were arranged in a gorgeous pattern on top of a cream background.  She accessorized with Jake at her side, and a pair of high-heeled metallic platform sandals to elongate her legs.  Anne’s jewelry was kept to a minimum, a pair of earrings and a ring, she left the dress to emit its own brilliant shine.  This was a sexy and playful turn on the red carpet fot the acctress, and she looked stunning while doing it.

Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal on EW Cover

Anne Hathaway amd Jake Gyllenhaal are on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.  The on-screen couple posed topless with their arms strategically placed around each other.  They are actively promoting their new movie, Love & Other Drugs.  There are three different covers available, but only the poses are different, they remain in a state of undress.  The two definitely have chemistry, and I would imagine that the film show-cases that to a greater degree.

Anne Hathaway at the NY Premiere of Love & Other Drugs

Anne Hathaway was gorgeous in this Valentino couture dress at the New York premiere of Love & Other Drugs.  She was photographed with her co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal.  The cream colored minidress with fur trim had a vintage appeal, but with all the modernity of the 21st Century.  It was from the Fall 2010 Haute Couture collection.  The dress had beautiful texture and a lovely lace overlay, it was perfect for the occasion.  There was something incredibly sweet about it, it may have been the tiered effect.  Her tan clutch had a touch of sparkle that finished off a very polished red carpet look.

The Met Gala is practically a fashion show on the red carpet, and it did not disappoint last night.  The bold-named and the beautiful came out in large numbers last night.  Many were dressed and accompanied by some of the biggest names in fashion.  We compiled a list of the best dressed.  Let us know if you agree.

1. Sarah Jessica Parker is always at home on the red carpet.  The actress looked stunning in her Halston Heritage gown last night.  Her pleated gown maintained the design integrity of Halston while staying true to SJP’s personal style.  Her hair and accessories played the perfect supporting role to the dress.

2. Marion Cotillard went Hollywood glam in her Dior gown.  She sparkled like a star from head-to-toe.  The be-jeweled neckline and her hair in beautiful soft waves completed the look.

3. Zoe Saldana was sleek and sexy in her one-shoulder Calvin Klein gown.  The beaded black dress was stunningly simple while adorned with only a few accessories.  It proves that sometimes the understated makes just right statement.

4. Anne Hathaway was Cinderella in her strapless Valentino gown.  Her diamond necklace went perfectly with the brilliant sequins surrounding the bodice and full skirt.  Hathaway was definitely the beautiful princess last night.

5. Jessica Alba channeled Old Hollywood with her hair, makeup and that gorgeous dress designed by Sophie Theallet for GAP.  Satin can be a very tricky fabric because it can make you appear larger, but Alba was trim and svelte last night.  That’s because of the expert draping of the designer and the actress’ figure.  Jessica Alba has donated her gown for auction and all proceeds will go to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in support of The Costume Institute Gala Benefit.
