Beyonce is sitting pretty on the cover of Essence magazine for July 2011.  She sports a white halter and that mega smile.  This laid back image is very appealing, it makes one nostalgic for the familiar.  The photo reminds me of summers in the park, enjoying a barbeque with family and friends.  Here she looks more like the girl next door, than the glammed-up superstar we usually see onstage.  It’s a refreshing change.

Here are images of Tom Ford’s Spring 2011 runway show from Harper’s Bazaar UK.  They feature notables like Beyonce, Liya Kebede, Daphne Guinness and Joan Smalls to name a few who walked this catwalk; clearly no ordinary fashion show.  Photographer Terry Richardson took these exclusive images from the show in September 2010.  The collection is rich in prints, texture and shimmer.  We will be seeing these pieces on the red carpet sooner than later, right where they belong.

Beyonce was beautiful in Antonio Berardi as she hosted the launch of Lorraine Schwartz’ new jewelry line, 2BHAPPY.  She wore a winter white dress with cap sleeves and a unique neckline.  Her dress flattered her curves and the hemline fell modestly to the knee.  A pair of bronze high-heeled sandals and of course, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry completed the look.  Her blond hair was styled in loose curls surrounding her shoulders and her makeup was pretty and neutral.  Beyonce selected a very sophisticated look that struck the perfect pitch for this event.

Beyonce has a new L’Oreal commercial, and it is clear the lips have it.  She is wearing a lip color so red it rivals the shade on actual strawberries.  If it can stay true during the singer’s on-stage performance, then sign me up.  Her Infallible Never Fail Lipcolor will be perfect for the red carpet, cue the makeup artist for the Emmy’s next month.  L’Oreal struck gold when they selected Beyonce as their spokesperson, sure they’re probably paying a pretty penny, but ‘she’s worth it.’

Women ruled in the top 10 of Forbes‘ 100 Celebrty List, and they are among The World’s Most Powerful Celebrities.  Talk-show queen Oprah Winfrey took the No. 1 spot, and was followed by singer/actress Beyonce Knowles at No. 2.  Lady Gaga’s talent and individuality landed her at No. 4.  Singer Britney Spears has turned her troubles around and came in at No. 6.  Oscar winning actress Sandra Bullock made the No. 8 spot, and entertainer Madonna is No. 10.  These women are not only powerful, but great examples of what passion and hard work can accomplish.  You can view the rest of the list here.
