Christian Siriano – RTW Spring 2012

Christian Siriano brought citrus brights to the Spring 2012 season in yummy lime and tangerine.  The bold colors were subded by the elegant designs.  My favorite look was the long green skirt paired with a coral T-shirt.  This look showcased the refinement in American sportswear.  Those colors were lively and energetic, and their enthusiasm were contagious in the audience.  a neutral palette was also served up, but the vivid pieces ruled the runway.

Christian Siriano Fall 2011 – RTW

Christian Siriano gave us darker hues for Fall 2011 mixed in with olive green and dusty pink.  The collection had both day wear and evening gowns, but it was the latter that created the most interest.  Some of the dresses were voluminous with a fairy-tale quality.  While others were sleeker, but maintained their own element of drama.

The Christian Siriano Fall 2010 Collection far exceeded expectations.  It was a celebration from beginning to end.  Even the room had great energy, and it was amped up by the thumping music.  All of this was just a preview of the dresses to come down the runway.  Siriano must have gotten the memo about the blizzard beforehand, and knew we were in a defiant mood as far as our dress code was concerned.  Glamour was the theme of this show, you need only look to the perfectly coiffed hair and painted red lips.  The dresses were made for celebration.   The gray multi-tiered dress with one-shoulder literally elicited an unexpected gasp.   Both the gray and pink dresses were received with spontaneous applause.

Victoria’s Secret: Christian Siriano Make-up

Project Runway returns to the airwaves this week, so it seems fitting to highlight Christian Siriano’s make-up line at Victoria’s Secret.  Siriano is the winner of season 4 on the reality hit.  He worked as a make-up artist when he first moved to New York, and now he is a designer.  Not bad, a make-up artist and a fashion designer.  It obviously pays to be versatile in this economy.  The lip glosses are very tempting; I’m more of a lip gloss and mascara kind of girl, but he has bronzers, eye shadows, eyeliners and the like.  Now we can get our push-up bras and Christian Siriano’s lip gloss in one shot.  It works for me.
