Kerry Washington in Donna Karan at Alicia Keys’ Keep A Child Alive Ball

Kerry Washington was as graceful as a ballerina in Donna Karan at Alicia Keys’ Keep A Child Alive Ball in New york City. The cream colored confection had artistically arranged shapes throughout, but they were more prominent in the tulle skirt. It was sleeveless with a plunging V-neckline, and a mid-calf length. She accessorized with a sleek satin clutch in ecru, and matching pointy-toe heels. Her hair was styled in soft curls, and her makeup was in a neutral palette with a rose colored lip color.

The 2011 Emmy Awards: Best Dressed

Nina Dobrev was perfection in Donna Karan last night at the 2011 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.  This is what I call the ‘perfect fit.’

Emily Blunt was gorgeous in this navy Elie Saab gown.  The embellishment and plunging neckline were stunning.

Rashida Jones was a beauty in Alberta Ferretti.  She had me at first sight with that beautiful lilac pastel.  I loved the intricacy of the bodice and the romantic fall of the hem.

Minka Kelly was both sexy and reserved in Christian Dior, this is one of my favorite combinations.  The lace dress was feminine and modest with only hints of skin revealed.

Kerry Washington was a standout in this crimson Zuhair Murad dress.  The vibrant color and shimmering sequins caught my eye, but it was the sweetheart neckline and great fit that won me over.

Donna Karan Fall 2011 Ad Campaign

Donna Karan’s Fall 2011 campaign showcases the charm and versatility of the collection.  It meets the demands of the busy executive who requires classic looks by day, and elegant pieces by night.  She wants beauty and luxury, she will not compromise.  These images give us a great view of the garments, and they are rich in details like delicate draping and ruching.  The ads find model Isabeli Fontana at a hearing earlier in the day, and then out for a glamorous evening.  Even her casual ensemble is luxurious, minus any extraneous frills; all of these items embody simplicity and chic.

Maria Bello in Donna Karan at BAFTA Gala

Maria Bello selected a one-shoulder Donna Karan metallic gown to the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) gala.  A single braid rested on the bodice alongside delicate draping that fell into a flowing skirt.  She looked goddess-like with an asymmetrical neckline and the gathering at the hipbone.  Her hair mimicked the texture in the dress, and the up-do allowed the upper portion of her look to shine.

Sarah Jessica Parker in L’Wren Scott

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the Stephan Weiss Apple Awards looking retro chic in an L’Wren Scott design.  It was an asymmetrical dress in a nude lace.  A ruffled tier in the upper bodice drew attention to her decolletage.  Her attire had a sporty feel when it came to the shoulder straps and scooped neckline, but everything else said femininity.  The fabric choice said vintage, but the cut was definitely modern.  A metallic pair of Christian Louboutin peeped-toe heels completed her look.  Donna Karan and Urban Zen made this event possible and the stars came out looking their best.

Heather Graham in Donna Karan at ‘Kimchi Chronicles’ Launch Party

 Image via The Stylist Site

Heather Graham wore a strapless Donna Karan to the Kimchi Chronicles launch party last night.  This metallic number flattered the actress’ curves.  It sparkled with golden sequins, and the below the knee hemline provided for a beautiful proportion.  The designer was also responsible for the strappy platform sandals.  Her hair color matched the dress, and it made her monochromatic look ultra chic.  She appeared both comfortable and confident on the red carpet, an unbeatable combination.

Met Gala 2011 – Top 5 Red Carpet Looks

Gwyneth Paltrow in Stella McCartney – she wore the trend of the evening, a nude palette with embellishment.  The long sleeves made her thigh-high slit sexy and modest.

Kerry Washington in Escada – this mint green beauty was gorgeous and refreshing on the red carpet.  The peek-a-boo cut-outs were bold and alluring.

Ashley Greene in Donna Karan – a beautiful strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline.  It was the perfect fit on the actress.  The drama was in the mermaid hemline.

Diane Kruger in Jason Wu – her dress was reminiscent of an updated tuxedo.  The metallic sequins on the nude top were achored by the black skirt.  This was refined elegance with a provocative up-to-there slit.

Evan Rachel Wood in Gucci – her eggplant number with a be-dazzled bodice was of a darker hue for the evening, but still pretty and polished.  The secret here was the excellent fit.
