These five ladies represented the trend of the evening.  It was a night of bold colors, sparkles, prints and legs.

1. Sandra Bullock was sexy in a black beaded dress with a plunging back.  She pulled out all the stops last night, and received an MTV Movie Generation Award.

2. Scarlett Johansson was very lady-like in her emerald green cocktail dress.  The actress was very elegant and poised in Dolce & Gabbana.

3. Eva Mendes sparked in silver and turquoise sequins.  Stella McCartney’s one-shoulder dress was on-trend for the night.

4. Cameron Diaz was all legs in her printed mini dress.  It was youthful and summery, just perfect for the more layed-back movie awards show.

5. Kristen Stewart was a winner all night.  She took home the award for best actress for Twilight, and the movie won virtually every other award.  The actress opted for a short gold and tweed mini dress by Dolce & Gabbana for her big night.  Her dress was young and a little unexpected.

Eva Mendes wore this Donna Karan look to her movie premiere of Bad Lieutenant.  There is nothing sexier than a white button up shirt with a luxuriously draped skirt.  The look is from the pre-spring 2010 collection.  Fresh and modern are two words that comes to mind.  The more structured nature of the shirt and the drapery of the skirt combines the masculine with the feminine beautifully.  It works because it’s simultaneously sexy and demure, and would be flattering on women of all ages.  An excellent choice for the woman who wants an option to the traditional one piece dress.
