Oscar de la Renta Taps Karlie Kloss for Spring 2012 Ad Campaign

Oscar de la Renta selected Karlie Kloss for his Spring 2012 campaign, she has the classic good looks that works beautifully with his collection. The strapless fringe dress paired with the structured wedged heels was my favorite.

Photographer Craig McDean placed the colorful designs against a black-and-white background and the result was magic. A neutral back-drop allowed the pieces to pop.

Her hair was styled in a sleek center-parted bun and the make-up was stunning; it highlighted her enviable cheek-bones. I loved these ads because I get an Alice in Wonderland vibe from them.

Calvin Klein Jeans Spring 2012 Ad Campaign Stars Lara Stone & Toni Garrn

Calvin Klein Jeans unveiled its Spring 2012 campaign starring models Lara Stone and Toni Garrn. The ads were shot by Mert and Marcus and they are quite sensual.

Each lady posed with a male counterpart in low rise jeans, sans top. They were however, strategically covered-up.

It appears that colorful denim is the look of the season. The yellow and green pants displayed in the images are reminiscent of lemon and lime frozen icies. I guess summer will be sweet afterall.

I loved the crashing of the waves in the backdrop as they reclined on black rocks. The blue of the sea and sky were also extremely tantalizing.

Chanel Spring 2012 Ad Campaign Stars Joan Smalls & Saskia de Brauw

Chanel selected models Joan Smalls and Saskia de Brauw for the Spring 2012 campaign. The black-and-white ads were shot by designer Karl Lagerfeld.

I always love movement in photography and these images did not disappoint. Even more impressive was the photographer’s ability to work the refined looks within an athletic theme. Note the balance beams, parallel bars, swimming and the horse.

Lagerfeld did a great job of conveying not only the beauty of the pieces, but their ease and versatility. I also loved the artistry and poses of the models; their grace and strength should be applauded.

Gisele Bundchen for Versace Spring 2012 Ad Campaign

Gisele Bundchen is the face of Versace’s Spring 2012 campaign and she shows us why she is the top earning model in the industry. She posed in a series of white studded looks from said season.

The shoot was shot poolside by photographers Mert & Marcus. I can practically feel the intensity of the sun from these images, even in New York City’s current frigid temperatures. Her skin was golden bronzed and in keeping with her supermodel status, she was so impossibly fit, she sizzled.

Miranda Kerr in Peter Pilotto at MoMA Film Benefit

Miranda Kerr wore Peter Pilotto to the MoMA Film Benefit in New York City. It waa a Chanel event celebrating Peter Almodovar. Her dress was structural and in a vivid graphic print, think turquoise, blue and white. Her sleeveless peplum dress had a with zipper in the bodice and a black trim. It was fitted with a straight skirt that fell just below her knee. A pair of Nicholas Kirkwood architectural sandals and a metallic clutch accompanied her look. The hair pulled back in a sleek up-do, and the makeup was sheer and accented with a bright orange-red lip color.Miranda Kerr wore Peter Pilotto to the MoMA Film Benefit in New York City. Fashion’s Night Out 2010: The Fashion Show

Models, designers, editors and fashionista’s came out this evening to support Fashion’s Night Out’s fashion show.  The event showcased over 150 models in Fall 2010 looks from many designers, and these pieces are in stores now.  Some of the biggest names in the modeling industry graced the seemingly intricate catwalk.  The show was streamed live for all to see and to enjoy the awe of one of the largest fashion shows ever.  Andre Leon Talley was one of our hosts for the evening, and he was a delight.  It was a sight to see the models rock the runway with such poise and precision, all 150 of them.  This event started as the brainchild of Anna Wintour and Vogue last year, and has grown exponentially in just one year.  The making of FNO will be aired on CBS on September 14th, and it is sure to include the evening’s fashion show, as well as the worldwide shopping extravaganza on Friday, September 10th.  Don’t forget that these events help to support a worthy cause;  a portion of the proceeds goes to the New York City AIDS Fund.  We can hardly wait until Friday for Fashion’s Night Out’s second night out.  Happy shopping!!!
