Halle Berry wore a sparkling minidress to the 14th Annual Hollywood Awards Gala last night in Los Angeles.  The A-line dress was short and sexy with sparkles all over.  It had a deep V-neck in front and long sleeves to keep it from being too revealing.  She paired the metallic number with strappy pewter sandals that complemented her look perfectly.  Her neutral makeup and signature hair style were flawless on the red carpet.

Halle Berry attended the Carousel of Hope Gala in a gorgeous YSL gown over the weekend.  She was stunning in the red one-shoulder number that was fitted to perfection.  This dress had all the drama needed on the  red carpet, it was beautifully draped and fell to the floor in a pool of silk.  She paired it with a bronze evening bag, diamond hoop earrings and a simple cocktail ring, she proves that with accessories, sometimes less is more.  The Gala was held to raise money for the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes in Los Angeles.  Berry has been living with diabetes for years.

Halle Berry stepped out to the Scream Awards in Reem Acra in Los Angeles over the weekend.  The actress wore a strapless metallic minidress to the Spike TV event and she looked gorgeous.  Gold is a flattering color on her; the heart-shaped cleavage was also very flattering.  She paired simple hoop earrings with the shimmering sequin dress.  Metallic platform pumps completed her fabulous look.  Her signature short hair cut is always a do on this lovely lady.

Halle Berry’s Vogue cover for September 2010 has been revealed.  She covers the much coveted September issue of the fashion bible.  The actress is at the height of sophistication in her pictorial.  Styled in luxurious velour mixed in with a little shimmer, she channeled her red carpet persona.  I definitely felt the glamour of Old Hollywood in the form of Dorothy Dandridge, but without the literal interpretation.  Instead of Dandridge’s trademark loose curls, Berry opted for a short straight bob that could have been inspired by the hair from the roaring 1920′s.  We are so accustomed to seeing her cropped hair-do, but she went in an unexpected direction.  She took a risk, and should be applauded for not playing it safe.

Halle Berry is being mentioned as the face to cover the famed September issue of Vogue this year.  The September issue is the most coveted issue and thus the most desired cover.  That would be a major fashion coup for the Academy Award winning actress.  Naomi Campbell was the first black woman to grace that particular issue back in 1989, and it appears Berry will be the next.  Her movie Frankie and Alice will also premiere in the fall just in time for her cover appearance.  It would not be surprising to see it become a collector’s item for the fellas as well as the ladies.
