Lea Michele in Valentino at ‘New Year’s Eve’ Premiere in L.A.

Lea Michele went Hollywood glam in Valentino at the Los Angeles premiere of New Year’s Eve. The actress was stunning in a glittering gold gown, it was a beautiful mix of beadwork and tulle with a plunging neckline. Neil Lane diamonds accessorized her metallic dress. She worked the retro look to perfection with her hair styled in waves. Her makeup was in a neutral color palette with a strong brow.

It had a deep V-neckline and an embroidered skirt with some translucency. The actress accessorized with a pair of matching platform pumps and an evening bag. Her hair was pulled away from her face into a sophisticated up-do, and the makeup was dramatic, with an emphasis on the eyes.

Lea Michele in Katharine Kidd at Variety’s Luncheon

Lea Michele wore a Katharine Kidd design to “Variety’s” Power of Women luncheon in Beverly Hills. It was an off-white mini-dress with a translucent neckline and capped sleeves. The textured look had princess seams in the center to provide a great fit. She accessorized with metallic Christian Louboutin high heel sandals and matching clutch to completed her attire. I loved her bangs with her hair pulled back, and the neutral makeup was a winner.

Lea Michele in Michael Kors at Luncheon

Lea Michele rocked a fuchsia mini-dress from Michael Kors at the designer’s benefit luncheon in Beverly Hills.  The dress was fully textured, and was sleeveless with a sporty neckline.  Its gorgeous color went beautifully with the Glee actress’ tanned skin.  The length was also perfect on her petite frame, it fell right at her mid-thigh.  Silver sandals were a good choice becaue they echoed the cool hue of her dress.  I loved her bangs, and how they opened up her face.  The neutral lip color was also a plus, she wisely opted against matching it with her outfit.

Lea Michele and Dianna Argon from Glee Cover GQ Mag

The cast of hit television series Glee covers the November 2010 issue of GQ magazine.  Lea Michele, Dianna Argon and Cory Monteith are, um, super close in their cover shoot.  We’ve gotten a few come hither stares, bold red lips, strategically placed hands and a lot of skin on this sizzling hot shoot.  The color pink can be girly, but Lea makes it a little more naughty than nice.  She wears hot pink undergarments and heels with a baby pink top and knee-high socks.  Dianna sports a short pleated denim mini-skirt with a black crop top.  Cory plays the all-American in a pair of jeans and a blue-and-white long-sleeved polo shirt.  If this were the school publication, they’d all be reprimanded, but thankfully they’ll just sell tons of GQ issues.  Fashion photographer Terry Richardson was behind the lens at this shoot, and you can always count on him to bring the heat.

The 2010 Emmys celebrated television at its finest last night in Los Angeles.  Stars from the small screen were acknowledged for their on-screen performances.  Here at Fashion Rollcall, we’ve analyzed and recognized them for their red carpet presentation.  Then we selected the top five best dressed ladies from this event.  At first blush, the line-up of these ladies appeared perfectly clear; that was until we started scrutinizng each look, from the draping, ruching, beading down to the dramatic trains.  Hair and make-up may have been the deciding factor in a few cases, yes, we did split hairs.

Nina Dobrev was the best dressed, the nude color fabric had an iridescent shine that was a hit on impact.  She wore a Zuhair Murad one-shoulder dress with an up-to-there slit.  The bodice boasted peak-a-boo inserts.  This champagne colored gown looked exquisite against her perfectly tanned skin, and her hair and make-up were also flawless.

Tied for second were Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta and Clair Danes in Armani Prive.  They both looked stunning, and brought glamour to the Emmys.  If this were Old Hollywood Lea would have been Rita Hayworth and Claire, the ultimate blond-bombshell, Marilyn Monroe.  The de la Renta gown was sophisticated without being too mature for the young actress.  It had a fabulous fit, especially around the bust and the tiny waist.  Then we have the Armani Prive which pretty much announced it was haute couture on arrival.  This strapless stunner sparkled with beading so luminous that only actress’ glowing skin and golden blond locks could rival it.

Kim Kardasian gave us all something to talk about in her grecian inspired Marchesa gown last night.  The dress had a gorgeous bejeweled neckline that was paired with a bracelet with a similar pattern.  It’s all in the details ladies.  This white number was a beautiful fit on the reality star; it was fitted up top, and skimmed her curves below.

It is quite a coup to dress any of the lovely ladies of Mad Men, and Donna Karan won over Elisabeth Moss with a beautifully draped chiffon gown for the Emmys.  This was one of Moss’ most glamorous turn on the red carpet.  The one-shoulder dress had intricate work done on the shoulder, and had a dramatic train on the opposite side for balance and symmetry.  It had a beautiful fitted bodice, but the most telling thing about this look was the look of confidence on the actress’ face, she obviously feels as good as she looks.
