Rachel McAdams was gorgeous in an eye-catching Marchesa gown at the Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows premiere in Los Angeles. She wore an embroidered dress with a shimmering effect. It boasted long sleeves, a sweeping train and a plunging back. The actress was posed on the red carpet in this dramatic look and diamond studded earrings. Her hair was in a sophisticated updo with just the right amount of texture and the makeup was subtle with a coral lip color.

Emily Blunt wore a fuchsia Notte by Marchesa gown to the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, DC. She wore a strapless beauty with heavenly ruffles in the bodice. It had a sweetheart neckline and a straight skirt that fell to the floor. The actress carried a patterned miniaudiere and wore a stunning Neil Lane necklace. She had a rosy lip color to complement her complexion and her hair was styled in a sleek shoulder length bob.

Blake Lively wore a daring Marchesa dress to “Gossip Girl’s” 100th episode celebration. It had strategic aquamarine embroidery to conceal the sheer factor in her frock. A cascade of white fringes also helped to maintain the actress’ modesty. She paired it with strappy gold sandals and drop-down earrings. Her hair was styled in an up-do with wavy texture, and her makeup was sheer and neutral.

Kerry Washington opted for a strapless Marchesa design for the 2011 “Glamour” magazine Woman of the Year event in New York City. Her canary yellow gown had a dazzling embellishment at waist, as well as draping and ruching. The dress had beautiful folds that fell into a ruffle-like detail at the side. It also had a sweeping train that fell in a pool of chiffon onto the red carpet. A pair of pointy-toe heels in taupe accompanied this look. She accessorized with a diamond bracelet and earrings to match the sparkle on the outfit. Her hair was in sophisticated pin curls, while the makeup was flawless in a neutral palette.

Ashley Greene was all Hollywood glamour when she posed for “Flare” magazine’s December 2011 issue. We got to see the glammed-up actress in high-end designs from Gucci and Marchesa – think gorgeous ruffle-like detail, and intricate beadwork. Selena Gomez attended MTV’s European Music Awards show in Marchesa. The actress wore a white lace dress with an illusion of transparency throughout, and a mid-thigh hemline. The length of the tulle skirt was balanced by a high neckline, and long sleeves. She accessorized with metallic heels, and a little red clutch. Blake Lively in  Michael Kors – the color-blocking worked for her outfit, a sleeveless blue dress with sheer cut-outs and sexy purple platformed Christian Louboutin pumps.  We also counted the red sole.

Penelope Cruz selected a lilacMarchesa gown for the premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.   The dress was dramatic, it had shoulder straps adorned with ornate attachments, the body was fully embroidered and fell in a mermaid hemline.  It was extravagant right down to the sweeping train.  She accessorized with a gold clutch that emphasized the metallic details in this look from the Fall 2011 collection.  This tulle confection was perfect for such an event; it was all about capturing the imagination on the red carpet.

Penelope Cruz graced the red carpet in a feathered Marchesa gown at the Disneyland premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.  This glam look was fully embroidered with an off-the-shoulder design and a mermaid hemline.  It was rich in patterns and texture.  She wore her hair in an up-do whichrevealed her dangling Chopard earrings and gave us full view of her flawless makeup.  A diamond bracelet rounded-out her jewelry for the evening.
