Miranda Kerr’s New Kora Organic Skincare Line

Model Miranda Kerr has introduced her new organic skincare line, Kora.  She is incredibly natural and relaxed in front of the camera as she explains why she created this product.  The expectant mother wanted skincare that would be nuturing to the body especially with her hectic lifestyle.  We see an active Kerr engaging in her daily activites of running, produce shopping and cooking; all are in line with healthy and natural living.  We’re sure that much of her beauty came from her genetic pool, but wouldn’t it be great if she has managed to bottle some of her ‘it’ factor in Kora.

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom are Married

First we learned that model Miranda Kerr is the new face of Jil Sander, now we get word that she is newly married to actor Orlando Bloom.  It is believed that the two exchanged vows in the U.S., and not in her native Australia.  Her previous work commitments have been canceled so she can enjoy her honeymoon.  They confirmed their engagement only one month ago, but have been dating since 2007.  The Victoria’s Secret Angel appears to have it all both personally and professionally.  Can motherhood be far behind?

MFW: Prada Fall 2010 Runway

Prada’s Fall 2010 collection was a case of the present revisiting the past for inspiration for the future.  In this instance it was an expedition to the 1950′s, a simpiler time that is often idealized in film and television.   The color palette was very subdued, with tan, aquamarine blue, and black as the predominate hues.   Even the prints were restrained, though beautiful.  There were a couple of instances of an unknown material, it came in a tan skirt and matching jacket, and a black jacket that appeared to be made from a shiny rubber-like or patent leather material.  I loved the look of crinoline under the coats, skirts and dresses; it gave off a rigid and prudish vibe that was perfect for the show.  A few of the dresses had beautiful ruffled details and embellishments.  Some of the looks reminded me of the classic Italian beauty, and Sophia Loren came to mind.  Of course the show included bags, shoes, eyewear that completed the overly demure, but equally sexy looks.  Okay, the boots were not very reserved, they were unabashedly hot.  We now know that the Prada lady will look like a book-worm come fall with a twist of sensuality.  Victoria’s Secret models Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes and Miranda Kerr walked the show, as well as model of the moment, Lara Stone, and they navigated a maze of a runway.

It’s that time of year again, time for the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show.  Mark your calendars because the show will take place on Novemeber 19th, and airs on December 1st.

Angels Heidi Klum, Karolina Kurkova and Adriana Lima will not be donning their wings this year because they are either pregnant, or have recently given birth.  Heidi, however, will host the show, only weeks after giving birth to a baby girl.

If you’re wondering who will be walking in the show this year.  Well, Victoria’s Secret has found five new Angels.  Among them is Chanel Iman, known more for her runway appearances in New York, Milan and Paris.

Rounding out the five new Angels are Emanuela de Paula, Lindsay Ellingson, Candice Swanepoel and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.  They will join Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, Marisa Miller, and Doutzen Kroes on the runway.  Now we wait for word on the new Angel to be selected from a nation-wide casting call.  Sure they were selected for their personalities, but I’m sure they won’t look bad in their underwear either.
