Roberto Cavalli Spring 2012 Ad Campaign – Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy & Daphne Groeneveld

Roberto Cavalli brought out the big names for his Spring 2012 campaign. Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristin McMenamy and Daphne Groeneveld gave life to the collection with continuous movement; even their tresses got in on the action. Photographer Steven Meisel was called in to shoot the fabulous four.

They posed in sparkling sequins, sheer lace and colorful prints for the ads. These models still have the right moves to capture our imaginations.

The neutral makeup palettes won me over because they contrasted nicely with the vivid pieces. I loved the pin straight hair which was beautiful against all the texture and patterns in the looks.

Met Gala 2011 – Naomi Campbell in Alexander McQueen

Image via Fashionologie

Naomi Campbell wore an Alexander McQueen creation to the Costume Institute’s 2011 Met Gala last night in New York City.  This gown was by far the most dramatic look, and it truly represented the designer’s creative genius.  It had fringes and strategic cut-outs throughout, yes this was bold and daring.  Designers, celebrities and models gathered under one roof for the event which honored the late Lee McQueen, and also marked the opening of the “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” exhibition which will showcase the designer’s work from 1992 – February 2010.   The show will run from May 4th to July 31st.

Naomi Campbell looks gorgeous on the June 2011 cover of Vogue Japan, “The Age of Beauty” issue. She donned a tribal-inspired Gucci dress with beadwork and fringes. It has pee-a-boo cut-outs, an exotic pattern and a lot of texture. The magazine’s font is in gold to match the color of her outfit and cuff bracelet. This supermodel’s cheekbones are a work of art, and her makeup is beautiful and neutral.

Naomi Campbell Covers Elle Russia

Image via The Fashion Spot

Naomi Campbell is ElleRussia’s cover girl for February 2011.  The supermodel is decked out in diamonds and a fierce attitude.  She appeared topless and clothed only in intimate apparel, but her skin, hair and makeup are flawless.  Amazingly, Naomi’s  beauty does not diminish with age, she is just as gorgeous as in the early ’90′s.  Apparently, both beauty and diamonds are forever where Ms. Campbell is concerned.

Halle Berry On the Cover of Vogue’s September Issue?

Halle Berry is being mentioned as the face to cover the famed September issue of Vogue this year.  The September issue is the most coveted issue and thus the most desired cover.  That would be a major fashion coup for the Academy Award winning actress.  Naomi Campbell was the first black woman to grace that particular issue back in 1989, and it appears Berry will be the next.  Her movie Frankie and Alice will also premiere in the fall just in time for her cover appearance.  It would not be surprising to see it become a collector’s item for the fellas as well as the ladies.

Fashion’s Night Out 2010 to Host A Runway Show With Over 200 Models

Fashion’s Night Out is shaping up to be more extravagant than anyone originally anticipated.  It was recently announced that FNO will host the largest fashion show at Lincoln Center on September 7th.  The show will have over 200 of the fiercest models to walk the runway.  That means we will likely see the original supermodels walk alongside the models of the moment.  Will we see a model walk-off?  Think Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Linda Evangelista walking amongst Raquel Zimmermann, Karlie Kloss, Daria Werbowy and Chanel Iman that’s worth the price of admission.  Well 1500 guests will be privy to this model showdown, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the New York City AIDS Fund.  All the trends for fall will be represented on stage, and we’ll get to see the hottest looks from some of our favorite designers.  You can get tickets at the Lincoln Center box office this summer.
