Rooney Mara in Rodarte at ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ Premiere in Madrid

Rooney Mara continues her stylish promotion tour of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” in Europe. This time she walked the red carpet in a floor length Rodarte design in Madrid.

The actress opted for a criss-crossed halter gown with a minimalist vibe. It was lovely with a tiny bow at the waistline. Both the hem and the waist had a matching black trim.

Her hair was styled in a sleek updo with a side part. The makeup was dramatic with a strong brow and an understated red lip.

I liked this look because it played up her sculpted shoulders. It’s always best to lead with your asset.

Kirsten Dunst rocked the red carpet in a figure  hugging Rodarte gown at the Melancholia premiere.  Her teal and black halter dress had beautiful proportions with pretty polka dots and a mermaid hemline.  Her hair was sophisticated and the makup was classic.  Bulgari diamonds finished-off her glamorous and sexy look.  This was a daring selection for the actress, and she worked it beautifully.

Natalie Portman Wore Red Rodarte to Black Swan Premiere

Image via Style.com

It takes a ton of confidence to grace an actual red carpet in a red dress, and Natalie Portman did just that at the premiere of “The Black Swan.”  She selected a flowing Rodarte gown with beautiful embellishment along the bodice and neckline to make her entrance.  If this scene were a movie, it would have been called “The Lady in Rodarte.”  Her gown gets high marks for the way it moves as she walks, and for the thigh-high slit that is simultaneously modest and revealing.  Portman’s hair and makeup were extremely classic to balance the drama of the gown.  We’re thrilled that she went for the gold strappy sandals after opting for a cream evening bag.  The actress has been making the rounds while at the Venice Film Festival, and we can’t wait to see what she wears to her next public appearance.

Calvin Klein – February 18th @ 3:00pm EST – calvinkleincollections.com
