Halle Berry’s Vogue Cover Revealed

Halle Berry’s Vogue cover for September 2010 has been revealed.  She covers the much coveted September issue of the fashion bible.  The actress is at the height of sophistication in her pictorial.  Styled in luxurious velour mixed in with a little shimmer, she channeled her red carpet persona.  I definitely felt the glamour of Old Hollywood in the form of Dorothy Dandridge, but without the literal interpretation.  Instead of Dandridge’s trademark loose curls, Berry opted for a short straight bob that could have been inspired by the hair from the roaring 1920′s.  We are so accustomed to seeing her cropped hair-do, but she went in an unexpected direction.  She took a risk, and should be applauded for not playing it safe.

W Magazine Revamps September Issue

Change is inevitable, and there have been many changes at W magazine since Stefano Tonchi became the new editor-in-chief.  That’s good news for the publication because it will bring renewed interest.   The most notable are the new logo and the accompanying tag line “who, what, when, where and why in the world of style.”  Any questions?  I think not because they’ve told you exactly what they’re about.  The publication is transitioning from fashion into a lifestyle magazine.  Tonchi used the celebrated September issue to institute these changes.  Kat Dennings and Jessica Chastain made the cover of Ws September 2010 issue, a nod to young Hollywood.
