Cindy Crawford covers the May 2011 issue of Elle China in Lanvin.  The sexy red dress is from the Spring 2011 collection with lots of drama and flare.  It boasts a one-shoulder, fabulous draping and an eye-catching thigh-high slit.  She is definitely making her supermodel comeback after her Vogue Mexico cover and now this one.

Chanel has unveiled its Spring 2011 eyewear campaign in classic black-and-white.  The ads have a retro vibe, the 1960′s come to mind.  I love the relaxed elegance, the luxury of the brand is reflected in the images.  They were shot by Karl Lagerfeld.

Naomi Campbell looks gorgeous on the June 2011 cover of Vogue Japan, “The Age of Beauty” issue. She donned a tribal-inspired Gucci dress with beadwork and fringes. It has pee-a-boo cut-outs, an exotic pattern and a lot of texture. The magazine’s font is in gold to match the color of her outfit and cuff bracelet. This supermodel’s cheekbones are a work of art, and her makeup is beautiful and neutral.

The new Tiffany & Co. campaign for Spring 2011 is centered around ‘the big day.’  One image is a portrait of the blushing bride with her groom and all the men from her bridal party.  We get a close-up of her and her left hand that sparkles with a diamond engagement ring and band.  This season is for weddings and little blue boxes with shiny and sparkly round objects.  What’s more traditional than  wedding photos and Tiffany jewelry?  Photographer Peter Lindbergh brought us these blissful images.

Scarlett Johansson stars in Dolce & Gabbana’s cosmetic campaign for Spring 2011.  There is something so clean and pure about this ad, it could be the superb lighting in combination with the innocent expression on her face.  Her hair was styled in soft natural curls that brought youthfulness to the image.  The floral dress only added another element of freshness, and the flower in her hand was a tender touch.  This campaign works because it is pristine, and managed to convey that makeup can make you look younger.

Red by Valentino has debuted its new ad campaign for Spring 2011.  The collection is nicely displayed before a carousel of horses.  It’s a beautiful backdrop to showcase these pretty dresses.  These looks come in lace, tweed and sequin.  They come have special details like beautiful draping and ruffles.  The pieces appeared especially refined for the location, and their beauty illuminated even brighter.

Reese Witherspoon covers the May 2011 issue of Vogue in Roland Mouret.  She wore a classic black and white top with a plunging neckline and spaghetti straps.  Her hair is perfectly sculpted and her makeup is in a pretty peach hue; it goes well with the issue’s orange background.  Reese’s look is Old Hollywood inspired, but very current and fresh.

Jennifer Lopez struck her superstar poses for TOUS’ Spring 2011 ad campaign.  The singer is the face for the jewelry company, and her ads are very vibrant and energetic.  They are brimming with colors like turquoise and fuchsia backgrounds.  Her wardrobe takes on similar hues and an added element of sheen from the satin material.  There is also an Asian-inspiration that is played-out in her hair styles and the props; note the hat, chopsticks, hand fan and parasol.  Jennifer is extremely animated in these ads and it works in showcasing the jewelry.

Marion Cotillard returns in another Lady Dior ad for Christian Dior for Spring 2011.  The actress wore a violet dress with purple ribbon woven through the straps and neckline.  A beautiful red bag with black pattern is strategically placed before her to conceal her growing baby bump.  Photographer Craig McDean shot the ad in Russia, and he brought culture and beauty together.

Donna Karan’s Casual Collection for Spring 2011 takes easy-to- wear pieces to another level. It brought Karan’s signature draping together with everyday garments and the result was perfection. The neutral color palette of grey, grayish blue, white and taupe combined with the loose silhouettes delivered instant sophistication. Each look received expert treatment, view the pin-tucks, pleats and folds. This is city chic at its finest, luxury without the fuss.
