Okay, I admit it. I am in a summer, beach and beauty state of mind.  Rebecca Virtue’s Becca Swim is on my radar today.  She has a line of incredibly sexy swimsuits; they’re so sexy that I was tempted to do a few sit-ups during this post.  Talk about hot.  Jewel tones, Grecian draping, exotic and tropical prints are in this summer, and are often accentuated with gold hardware.  Becca Swim has even created an eco-friendly fabric.  Her advice for looking great this season is to moisturize, protect the skin from the sun, accessorize, and embrace your curves.  That sounds easy enough, especially if we want to pull off these swimsuit looks. 

We’ll all be headed to the beach this summer and will want to be on trend.  The swimsuit trend this season includes ruffles, bright colors and gold rings.  It works for me.  The ruffle detail on a bikini top will even provide a little enhancement in the bust area.  If that’s the case, let’s make ruffles on trend each swimsuit season, all in favor?  Having swimsuits in all the colors of the rainbow is also appealing; it spells the end of winter and all the dreary colors and emotions that accompany it. Bright colors say that you are confident and have no intention of blending in with the background.  As far as the gold rings attached to a swimsuit, that’s just jewelry for the beach. Lisa Curran provides us with the swimsuit trends, check out the video.  Now that we’ve got the swimsuit taken care of, all we need is a beach, sunglasses and a good book.  Oh, let’s remember the sunscreen, healthy is also sexy. 

Ladies, it’s that time of year again.  No, not tax season, it’s swimsuit season.  Okay the season is not quite here yet, but it is slowly approaching.  For some this is welcomed news.  For the rest of us it is as exciting as going to the dentist, but it does not have to be that way. 

It is a New Year, new attitude.  It’s out with the old, ill-fitting suits, negative self-images, and boyfriends that no longer fit nor encourage a healthy self-image.  Let’s do away with all the anxiety of getting into a swimsuit and focus more on finding the right fit for our bodies.

Why don’t we use this time to love and appreciate ourselves rather than torture ourselves?  We should do the things that improve our self-esteem, which would include a healthy lifestyle.  When you feel good, you look good. 

Just picture you throwing off those winter jackets and donning a sexy bikini or one piece.  The swimsuits for summer 2009 are just what the doctor ordered to rid us of our winter blues.  Ralph Lauren’s Blue Label swimsuits come in great colors like red, white, and the yellow is especially hot this summer. 

Seize the day.  Do not be intimidated by your mirror, stop looking at your ‘rear’ view and look ahead.
