Rihanna ushered in the New Year at a Miami bash wearing a belted Tom Ford design. She wore a black lace dress with a keyhole neckline and a sassy-and-sweet vibe.

It also boasted sheer sleeves and a mid-thigh hemline. She accessorized with pointy-toe heels with criss-cross straps.

Her hair was a mass of curls styled into a high ponytail with bangs. I loved that her tresses mimicked the texture in her frock. The makeup was dramatic and punctuated with a scarlett red lip color.

Tom Ford’s Fall 2011 campaign was a lesson in the opulence of bold colors, furs and textures. It was rich and decadent for the eyes; dramatic and vibrant are just two words I would use to describe it. The models looked as if they could walk right out of the ads and down the street of fabulousness. Red, green and purple unapologetically took centerstage, as will the label’s loyal clientele. These images will appeal to the daring diva inside us all.

Tom Ford Beauty Collection has a new campaign starring model Lara Stone alongside the designer himself.  She sports dramatic eye makeup in the ads, it was all applied with a nod to the 1970′s.  Her green eye shadow is an update on the infamous blue brow.  The line showcases its versatility with bold and neutral color palettes.  These images have an alluring quality, I like that she focuses on the camera as he focuses on her.

Tom Ford’s video lookbook showcased the luxury of his Fall 2011 collection. The pieces were rich and decadent, but what else would you expect? He uses texture and color to create what women want, an elegant wardrobe that’s beautifully tailored.

Ryan Reynolds takes over the cover of Details magazine for June/July 2011.  He dons all black as he crouches in a thinking man’s position; the sweater is Tom Ford, and the pants are Gucci.  His facial expression says he confident, yet approachable.  The gray background against his attire gives this issue a stylish and masculine vibe.

First Lady Michelle Obama selected a beautiful Tom Ford design for the 2011 United Kingdom State Dinner with the Queen.  The white gown had a fitted criss-crossed bodice with an attached floral applique at the waist.  She accessorized with white gloves that reached her upper arm.  A silver clutch and a pair of dangling earrings completed the outfit.  Her updo was very regal, and so was her entire look for the evening at Buckingham Palace.  President Obama went with a black tuxedo tails jacket and a white bow tie. 

Tom Ford covers The Men’s Issue of Interview magazine for February 2011.  We get to see the dapper fashion designer and director in a close-up head-shot where he is impeccably dressed.  The black-and-white shot is a classic, and it captures Ford in a perfectly tailored suit and polka dot tie.  His confident gaze into the camera is one of his major strengths, and most certainly contributes to his success.  Photographer Craig McDean shot the cover story.

Tom Ford casted model Abbey Lee Kershaw as his leading lady in his Spring 2011 womenswear ad campaign.  The ad captured the two in a passionate embrace usually reserved for a dance of the romantic tango.  Abbey wore a cobalt blue floor length gown in an elegant print with long sleeves and a mock turtleneck.  Her platinum blond hair hangs in loose curls and her lip color is a bold fire engine red.  Tom is dashing in a black tuxedo that is no doubt from his menswear line.  This campaign is all about drama, glamour and a lifestyle of luxury.
