Cameron Diaz opted for a feminine Valentino design for the label’s haute couture show in Paris. The actress wore a white dress with delicate embroidery throughout.

It was ladylike and elegant with ornate trimmings at the neckline, sleeves and hem. She complemented her frock with a pair of cream pointy-toe heels.

Her hair was styled in a short bob and the make-up was in a soft rose palette. I have really enjoyed her red carpet style for the shows and hope to see more of the same back in the States.

Rooney Mara opted for a crimson Valentino design at the Rome premiere of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” The actress selected a refreshingly vivid color in contrast to her neutral hues.

It was in a sheer lace gown with multiple tiers and a floor sweeping hem. This dress was feminine and ladylike with its special details, like scalloped edges in the upper bodice, translucent sleeves and princess silhouette.

Her hair and makeup were flawless. I liked the signature updo with blunt bangs and the lip color that matched her gown.

She gets point for wearing scarlet instead of black to this event, but I am still trying to figure out her style. Is it soft and elegant or bold and dramatic? Either way, I enjoy watching her red carpet evolution.
